Damn, BS looks to be a pretty rough group.

I recently purchased a M4 with the intent to compete with it in Bstreet. We need more guys out there representing these cars. Last weekend I had my first autocross with it and the only change so far is tires (RE71Rs). My car is a 2018 comp, ccb, mt with 19 inch wheels on 265/285 tires. Based of my short stint with the car so far, I think it will play very nice in Bstreet and fit right in. I will be soon putting it on the alignment rack to see where to factory alignment is and what is actual capable within the rules.
Initial impressions so far is that the diff is great, the suspension is good (a little soft imo) and the car is very forgiving on the limit. It understeers off power, and rotates very nicely with throttle. A little more seat time and I think I will adapt pretty well to it. Here is a video from last weekend |

Hey guys, on the autox subject, I'm looking to do more of this, and just had a number of mods done on the car. AutoX is new to me, I'm having a little trouble determining the appropriate category. I fully recognize I'm going to likely be the slowest, and at this point don't care about my competition, I just want to be sure I'm fairly categorizing my car. My setup
- BM3 CS tune - MP HAS - Camber plates - Upgraded rear toe links (Fall Line Street) - SRF fluid with track pads - 305 RE71R's in the rear With the exception of the tires, otherwise I was thinking STU? But if I'm understanding correctly, the 305's are too wide for this. So maybe I have to go D Street Prepared? Thanks for feedback |

This coming weekend should be very interesting, a good test for how this car will do in B-Street. We will have a very well known driver (multiple national championships) in a GT350, a driver on par with me in a 2019 1LE, my M4, a 1M and an Evora all dialing things in before the following week NJ ProSolo. Not sure how this car will do, but I think it will open alot of eyes as it's been written off and forgotten about before anyone gave it a shot IMO.
Here's a video from last weekends PM autox, cold temps, no heat in the tires but it was good enough to pax 3rd. |

So the NNJR region had a very good BStreet showing yesterday to prep for the PRO next weekend. We had a 1M, Evora, M4, 2019 1le, and a gt350 that all came out to play. 6 BS drivers in the top 10 pax and some very close competition. The morning 3 runs were thrown out and treated as a TNT as the course had to be changed for a safety reason in the middle of the 3rd runs. The course became alot faster as they ended up straightening out an offset section to make it a little safer at high speeds. Some interesting results if you consider the first two runs:
First: M4 45.667 Second: 1LE 45.730 3rd: GT350 45.815 driven by Daddio The PM session left us a little more time which allowed for 4 runs. The 1le and gt350 pulled away on the final runs. Before that everyone was within noise 44.0-44.1 for the top 3 cars Daddio in the GT350: 43.754 2019 1LE: 43.772 M4: 44.016 M4: 44.241 2019 1LE: 44.412 GT350: 44.544 Evora: 45.232 1M: 45.839 Some impressions on my end as I got a ride in the 1le and the driver came for a ride in my m4. M4 has more grunt, and it is easy to tell especially in the midrange. It also feels smaller then the 1le. Car is super easy to catch and very forgiving at the limit. 1LE feels very balanced, has pretty big ice mode issue but it is very nice to drive. Daddio said the GT350 does not like to trail brake and needs to run a full tank to help put the power down. Not sure he felt 100 percent "full send" in the car till the later runs. I am on 265/285 tires which look like bicycle tires compared to the 1le/gt350 305s. Thinking of trying the 275/305 setup for the next set but will ride these out till they die. I also got my car aligned and it settled at 1.2/1.3 camber in the front, purchasing the camber correction kit from BMW would put those numbers at 1.7/1.8...worth the 750 dollars plus labor? Eh i dunno. I personally don't think the car needs a front bar, or a rear bar and is fine as is. The shocks are great, the diff is great, just needs more tire and camber. My run from Sunday, NJ PRO this weekend should be a hell of a show as everyone seems to be on pace: |

Thinking about this also. Can someone verify my classification?
2018 M3 MP HAS Camber Plates Rear tire 11 wide with 305 tires. No engine tuning, just some coding from Alex like GTS steering, CS DCT, CS EDC My limited understanding, says the camber plates and wheel size push me to STU. Then the rear tire of 305 pushes me into the Street Prepared, but not sure if SSP, DSP, or something else. Was also considering trying some Time Attack at PPIR, and think I end up in GT = Weight to power Ratio of less than 9.0 pounds per horse power. Thanks Last edited by CRRobert; 05-05-2019 at 09:03 AM.. Reason: add question about Time Attack |

2019 NJ ProSolo recap. Mother nature has not been kind for these big events. Running in the first heat, meant running in the rain....against an AWD Tesla...from a drag tree. With that said, can't be to disappointed as I managed 2nd place, fastest "normal" car on both sides. PM comes around and the weather was perfect. Sunny, dry AND warm? Run 1, coned. Run 1 on the other side...coned. At this point everyone knows Sunday is a washout so it's get it done now, or it's over. Set a decent time on the right but not quick enough. Set the fastest time on the left in the class, but not enough for the combined win. The car had the fastest right and left side, just not with the same driver as my codriver SENT it on the right side and put down a smoking time. End result, 3rd in class on the podium. Sunday...well the SCCA cancelled the event due to safety concerns with curbs and light poles, right decision as there was nothing to gain and everything to lose. Not bad, car is a pure joy to drive and onto the Finger Lakes Champ Tour in a couple of weeks.
Top 3 in class: Tesla: 75.893 Daddio in the GT350: 76.196 Me in the M4: 76.297 Wet Left side Wet Right side Fastest Left Fastest Right |

Hi there. I picked up a 19 M4 CS with CCB yesterday. I'm currently running a GT-R in SSP so I'd like to keep this car in stock class.
Just wondering what bar do we need for this car, front or rear? Also what alignment specs are you guys running with RE71R? CS comes with staggered 19" front and 20" rear. It really bothers me. I'm not sure whether keep it as is or 19" all around. Any suggestions? |
