Anyone recognize this lowered and modded M3? FL, TX
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Considering it because it has full carbon ext. interior and hood, and MP steering wheel with lights... Thoughts? |

Yeah I ended up buying it. It was definitely above the mileage I wanted, but engine mechanically sound and the 2-4k worth of carbon was a really nice bonus an KW HAS
The suspension was trashed by whoever owned it before me, luckily it was an easy fix. The PO must've had coilovers because EDC was coded out and unplugged, so I had to replug and come 2VF back into VO (I made a DIY in the coding section for anyone reading). He put KW HAS on but in the rear he didn't put the helper spring (smaller second spring) and it was riding on only the stiff large spring. This combined with constant sport + was soooo rough. It was like the guy was trying to slam the car in the rear as much as possible. Easy fixes but kind of sucked to have to do that right after purchase, it was kind of the trade off I got for all the carbon I guess. Other than that the car is CLEAN, all seals look great and no leaks. |

Congrats on the car! Enjoy it!
Have you run any logs to see how the engine is running? I would assume it has/had a tune at some point based on all of the mods on it.

Haven't ran any logs on it. 100% was tuned with bootmod3 which I'm very familiar with and ran on my previous M5. (There was a saved phone called bootmod3 in the Bluetooth media lol)
I've been having issues activating my license probably because the previous owner didn't deactivate his license from the VIN. I'm also pretty sure the car is still tuned with stage 1. Pulls much harder than any of the stock M3s I drove. Again, I wasn't super worried about the time or mileage - most of these engines haven't had many major high mileage problems other than the crankhub. |
