If you aren't flashing your tune back to stock make sure you have cat monitoring turned on. If it's turned off you'll run into the same problem again

You removed the cats and thought it would still
pass an emissions test. This is a joke right?

I mean, I've passed emissions in Texas plenty of times with catless DPs. It just depends on the tune.

I used to pass emissions without a problem with my tuned E60 M5 running catless headers and Eisenmann full race exhaust.

Hence, the surprise I got when I failed inspection with this setup!

Did you clear your codes recently? I was thinking that "Not Ready" meant that those systems just weren't checked yet. So, go drive more.

I have a MHD BEF & JB4 with Pure S2+ turbos and DPs. Mine looks like this and I'll pass.

LOL. People keep thinking CA is bad when it comes to this stuff when it's actually the opposite. There are no annual inspections. Most of the cars which I've chosen to modify have ended up catless and in 25+ years, I've never had a car inspected or smog checked. The best part is the air around you is cleaner to breathe because others care so much.

Actually, it's much worse in CA. Now they check for Calibration IDs and CVN numbers during the inspection. Can't even leave software on the car if everything else is buttoned down.

Good to know if I ever need an inspection. I guess I've just been lucky this whole time.

You're only allowed one "not ready" and I had three.

Trying to find out what my options are.

I'm running a custom BM3 stage 2 tune + VRSF catless DPs.

Thanks in advance!
Did you ever get it resolved? If not, PM me.

Here is the Wikipedia definition for you

Take it easy on the guy. I understand what he’s sAying. There are so many cars that are catless and have tunes that set the catalytic converter monitors to ready. He was just caught off guard and thought his tune would take care of the issues when dealing with an inspection.

Take it to the most grimiest hole in the wall garage.. dont make an appointment just show up and ask for an inspection. Most likely someone will come outside look at your tires and slap a sticker on your windshield.

No need to put the oem Dp's back on. Install non-foulers in your Dp. The how-to thread was already linked. I passed with VRSF castles and BM3 stage 2.

Why do you take out the foolers after you pass the test? Why not just leave them in there?

You will pass because you have zero monitors not ready in your screenshot. It's the 'not ready' monitors that make you fail.

Wow! Way to revive an almost 1-year-old thread!

And, yes I did get it resolved; thanks for your concern!

If you are representing CedarPerformance and are actually them, then this post is really unprofessional and condescending.
