There are posts here about people getting the a/c sensor fixed by the dealer before it completely broke too.

So what seems to go wrong that might not be obvious unless you ask the dealer to check?
Is that clearer?

I don't even know who they are trying to impress here by bashing OP.

My warranty expires in 2 months. I was doing a 5k mile oil change. And was looking for stuff that was broken, so that I can let them know and have it fixed. Found the forward turbo leaking oil. Just something for you guys to check out before your warranty expires.

What was the cause of this and what did they end up doing?

You guys think the seat tear would be covered under warranty?

Can't hurt to ask, but leather to me seems like a wear item so most likely not? Good luck though, nothing to lose!

In some threads there were some users that were able to get the stitching warrantied, but the work was sub-par and was an eyesore. I think it had to be redone.

The seam separated when I pushed my elbow into the bolster so get out of the car. My hands were full. I heard the seat give, and the result was the stitching popped at the seam.

I'm literally having the exact same issue and two dealers I've been to won't fix it. See this post:

good luck r0wr, A friend of mine works at bmw as a tech. He replaced the oring for the intake pipe to the turbo. I am kind of agitated about their "fix". I got an extended warranty, so later on when it leaks again, I will be more vocal about it. I own a awd talon, and have a pretty well understanding that you are NOT supposed to have oil in your compressor housing, or oil coming out where the intake pipe connects to the turbocharger. If that happened on the Talon I would send the turbo in to get rebuilt. But for some reason BMW wants to make up excuses like "it's normal" and what not, I'm thinking they don't want to be replacing an expensive mitsubishi turbocharger?
