Its required in TX but I haven't had one on the front in over 12 years. Never stopped or ticketed.

You could always consider installing a hideaway plate system.

I was just about to post a thread about this. I'm in Ontario and they're very strict about this around my area. Do you think there will be any options available specifically for the F8X by the time it releases?

Clearly the front bumper is different than the m sports so I'm not sure any companies can have something ready at release. I'm hoping I can find something that attaches easily to the front air intake in the fascia. Reason behind is I have told the dealer to not drill the holes on the bumper for the plates and so I need a solution around delivery.

I won't be installing one. I just need to keep reminding the dealer not to when my car arrives.

If the holes are the problem, why not use something like silicone? The damage would be easy to remove, and no holes required. It sound weird but my father inlaw fixes just about everything with it, and I did the last frameworks in our former house with that, after the nail gun had a change of mind about working properly.

This would save you the option of that electronic one till the system is available.

Get the GoMiniGo front plate tow hook mount and call it a day. I never have dealers install the front plate on my vehicles.

Wondering if the parking sensors will interfere with this type of placement. Have to look into the GoMiniGo, thanks for the suggestion.
