My F82 M4 build thread!
Hey everyone, so this is my first major thread on this forum of the "build" of my 2016 base M4. I purchased it CPO September 2019 and have just recently started to dip into modifying it. Since I have an extended warranty with it, I am really not looking to do anything beyond OEM. And in my opinion, the options on OEM are more than good enough to make this beast even more mean.
Through this forum and its members, I was able to discover Speed & Tech in Herndon, VA. I had them do a bunch of work and just picked up the car this morning.
I have nothing but top-notch things to say about Speed & Tech and their work. They were extremely professional and communicative, clearly pros at this. I don't trust many people with my cars no matter what car it is but S&T earned my business for good. So thank you all on this forum for your recommendations. I also want to give a shout-out to GetBMWParts.com - I discovered them through this forum as well and have really appreciated their awesome customer service. I've been buying all my OEM M Performance hardware through them, with a few exceptions of resale through the member classifieds. Their prices are so good my local BMW dealer just shakes their head Up next is M Performance front lip, splitters, sideskirts. Then I need a little bit more time to save $$$ and I'll finish this off with the M Performance exhaust! OK, enough blabber here's the pics from picking it up this morning!

Quick mod today until I bring my M4 back in for "round 2" at Speed & Tech in 2 weeks. Painted rear reflectors delete from IND! Really makes the rear look a lot cleaner.

Its a no-name eBay one. I bought it on eBay a year ago when I first got the car. Surprisingly the fitment and quality is excellent. But at some point I'm going to replace it for the OEM spoiler because I just prefer that look over this one. This is just a "high kick" M4 spoiler. This isn't the exact seller but it's the same one:

This is a bit delayed but I want to give a HUGE thank you to Luc@Speed&Tech and RJ for the outstanding work they did to my M4 in "phase 2" of my build.
I had Speed & Tech install M Performance Style RW Carbon carbon fiber front lip, splitters, sideskirts, and do a major IDRIVE 6 retrofit upgrade with wireless antenna and touchscreen install. They also did an IND roof M Heritage Edition style stripe. Finally, they PPF'd all the new exterior pieces and the roof on top of the earlier PPF work they did a couple months back. The coding for the IDRIVE unit was done by retrofitmybimmer (@retrofitmybimmer on Instagram or https://retrofitmybimmer.com). Rob was an awesome guy to work with - extremely easy process and his customer support was top notch. I hated IDRIVE 4, it was so dated...made my car feel ancient, and not having CarPlay was a major annoyance to me. This gave me a totally updated interior from an infotainment perspective and now my car from the interior feels no different than a 2020 model. Total game changer. The end result... my dream build is basically done, at least aesthetically Up next? No idea.. eventually some performance mods, but it will be a little while. Kinda broke the bank over the past couple months Anyway, if you're in the DC Metro area, please hit up Speed & Tech. They really do outstanding work, are extremely easy to work with.

Update - I purchased the blackline LCI taillights from EAS and just completed this retrofit myself. I was hesitant to do it myself but figured it seemed easy enough to tackle on my own. Hit a couple snags which I documented in the EAS retrofit thread here, but overall it was an easy DIY.
Worth every dollar, it totally changes the look of the car. A huge thanks again as I documented in the other thread to tom @ eas and kubax86 for their awesome customer service. I used Kubax for the remote coding services which took all of about 5 minutes to do. Onto the pics...I call these the Tron taillights
