M4 side mirror whistle?

Anyone else experience a whistling side mirror on your M4?

The car has carbon fiber side mirrors, in case that has anything to do with it...

Have the same issue with my F80 with M Performance carbon mirrors. I'm too pussy to try to take them off and replace them with the original painted covers... too scared of breaking any clips (the car came with the carbons installed and the painted covers in the trunk).

Interesting, yeah that whistling would drive me nuts, I might have to ask the dealer to replace those mirrors as part of the deal. I'd rather go without the carbon fiber rather than deal with the whistling.

I have the CF caps and no whistle I guess? I wouldn't hear it anyways as I am always busy enjoying the crap out of my M4.

Just trying to learn more about this specific car.

I know every car has it's own quirks.

Just trying to learn what is "normal" for the 2018 M4 Competition and what is not.

I had the same problem on my m2cs. The solution is to take a small strip of clear film and cover the inside seam where the cf cap meets the black surround.

Have the same problem on my M2C and it is driving me completely nuts for the last few weeks. I even replaced the set as I thought it was defective and the noise persisted.

Appreciate sharing the fix!
