Refurbishment/refinish for 'brushed' alloys
Hello all
I'm about to order a set of HRE's, but quite reluctant on opting for their more special finishes, such as the 'brushed dark clear', solely due to my concerns for their future maintenance. I don't personally know any wheels refurbishment shop in the country that offers 'brushed' finish, so if every curb rash would mean a return shipment to the states then obviously I'm better off with the standard gloss/satin finishes. Yet I can't lie I'm a huge fan of the look. I wonder if anyone can perhaps recommend an established workshop that is capable of the task so that I know I am somewhat insured? Huge thanks in advance Pic for reference |

This thread seems to get a lot of UK attention and even though it's old now I thought it was worth mentioning as I was solely relying on him (I couldn't find any one else at all in the UK).
He only works on split rims, single piece wheels that aren't split he doesn't want to work on. I wondered if split rims were easier or something for him.. having watched a few videos the faces look just as hard to do on a split design though so I'm not sure on the decision. If you've got split rims then his work is appears to be some of the best. |
