NJ Potholes

Edit: Changed title to NJ Potholes.

Post potholes that we should watch out for on our NJ Highways.

fckng NJ RT80West bound off RT 46. location is where 80 splits in Express and local there is a huge pothole on the left hand side on the ramp. please be careful.
this pothole is gonna cost me a new tire, possibly ne wheel and alignment.

I have a link from my dashcam.

please do not make comments on the music I was listening to. we somehow decided to listen to music from the 80s 90s. dont judge.

the purpose of this post is to let you guys know about the stupid roads we deal with everyday so you guys can avoid it.

No way to see it or react because it was around a bend. Looks like another car may have hit it as it was disabled on the left side. Can you claim the damage from the state? You do have good video evidence.

I was there for about an hour and I witness a good amount of vehicles pulling over to check their tires. 3 car were towed while I was waiting.

Painful to watch & hear. I get anxiety every time I drive down there especially as you get closer to the city since the roads get progressively worse. Find myself swerving over every single bump and barely paying attention to the cars ahead and more the road. Are you on 666's?

I'm actually on Michelin PS4S. I am on HRE FF04 liquid silver. 20"

It is disturbing to watch. it was painful to watch it go on the towing truck to. Thank god he had experience with low clearance vehicles.

Had a pretty bad blowout right on Rt. 46 East near Little Falls, NJ a couple weeks back on my 255/45 winters. (Michelin X-Ice on Apex EC7s 18"). Luckily it was right in front of a Mitsubishi dealership and was able to pull over immediately. Another car caught a flat and pulled into the same lot and was towed, I suspect the same pothole. Filled out the Property Damage Claim form on the nj.gov website. We'll see what happens.

This is why I went with the 18s...a routine alignment and tire changeover helps, but I bet this isn't good for the suspension. Not going to lie, I feel like the roads have been getting worse lately...like worse than before despite this being a relatively mild winter

Problem with filing a claim is, that the Pothole has to have been reported beforehand and the state did not fix it in a "reasonable" time. Many states actually have a "black out period" in the spring when you get the large pothole occurances that they are exempt from pothole claims.

I dont think I will get lucky this time. I have to file a police report, report to my insurance and then file a claim. I will need to do a little more searching.

These roads are so nerve racking it takes the enjoyment out of driving at times. I feel like I’m driving through a damn mine field constantly scanning...rediculous. This is one of the ‘FEW’ reasons I hate NJ.

if that was not on a turn I would have been able to try to manuver away but it was right on the turn. be careful guys. Just picked up my car and it runs great, no shaking.

They were able to fix the bent rim and I replaced both of my front tires since it only had 50% thread left. I needed an alignment as well.
I will need to replace my rear tires in about 10k. *pray*
