Just put deposit on this F80 '17 ZCP 6MT Tanz/SS from Shift. Anyone know this car?

I've been looking for a lower mileage Tanzanite / Siverstone F80 for 3 years and finally found one that looks clean and decided to pull the trigger despite the higher used car prices. I wish it had the Lighting package but it will do.

I'm excited to potentially pick this up once it's delivered but read some terrible stories about SHIFT not doing their "150 point" inspection and cars being delivered in not so great condition.

Was hoping the OG owner is on this forum and can share the car history? Or does anyone know this car? Thanks for taking a look.

I've never heard of shift before. I wish there was one site to capture them all!

Congrats on finding the car! Enjoy it.

I actually just placed a deposit on the 2016 Silverstone manual M3 also on Shift. I am having the car shipped to me sight unseen across the country.

We are in this together man! Lets hope it works out!

What are the fees, heard it's like $900? I guess they handle all the paper work etc? Keep us posted on your experience.

Fee is like $1200, but the price of the car is low enough to justify that for me.

Thanks for sharing! Glad I'm not alone!

So far the experience has been good... Put deposit yesterday, SA called me first thing this morning and said she would ask the Oakland Facility to take additional pictures and a video of the car. Delivery update to Los Angeles expected this weekend with actual delivery sometime possibly next week. We'll see....

During their quality check, they found a 5ish inch scratch on the rear bumper and a rock chip on the windshield that has been filled in. Since it was not mentioned on the original ad, they were willing to work out a discount. Also, tires are almost at time to change (5/32) so I was able to get $900 off. Not as much as requested, but happy they were willing to work with me. So far so good...

Please let me know how your transaction comes along with shift... I am on the fence about placing a deposit on an M3 they have on there as well! I am glad to hear that they are working with you on the price and offering discounts for blemishes they are finding during the inspection.

I bought an LC500 through them recently and had it shipped across the country. Their customer service is great and they also carry a return policy if the car arrives and you're not satisfied with it. The shift service fee was $1250 and shipping from CA to PA was $2100. The car came in perfect condition and I was pretty satisfied overall with the transaction.

That's awesome. Thank you for sharing! Did you try to negotiate price at all with them?

I did not, I think they follow a carmax / carvana pricing system where they price what they deem to be fair so there is no haggling.

I think you can only haggle if they find something wrong that was not advertised... at first they offered me $300 and then I said the windshield alone would cost at least $1200 to replace... so after some back and forth, we settled on $900

You may already know this but they drive the car from Whittier lot your house and Uber back. So my fulfillment advisor secretly told me to request an uber for me to go to Whittier instead... that way you don't have some joker driving your soon to be m3.

I also asked about delivery to their Carson site, which close to you but he said delivery usually goes to Whittier since it's a bigger lot.
