Pre purchase Inspectors

Hi does anyone in the Bay Area have any recommendations for ppi's? I'm located in la and interested in a car in the Bay Area. Would love everyone's help!!

Call the local dealers in the area as well BMW specialized shops and get their quote.

It would be better if they could do engine leakdown and compression test on all 6 cylinders.

German Auto Sport in Berkeley is the most thorough PPI I've ever received. They included photos, summaries of the issues, recommendations, and a full packet to detail everything. They even sent me a PDF of the work up.

Griffin Motorwerke and Silicon Valley Bimmer are excellent shops as well.

I've also used BMW Concord twice - Vernon Mayeux is a true professional.

Many would disagree and I was dubious as well but Lemon Squad did a great job for me several years ago. The local BMW specialist inspector cancelled on me twice. I hired LS somewhat short notice and they got somebody out there. Excellent communication with me and the BMW salesperson. He provided a detailed PDF report and included comments based on his own BMW experience. I didn't need a second opinion.
