Best fitting silicone chargepipes...?

Was wondering what the best fitting silicone chargepipes are that accommodate fitting the engine cover properly? I know silicone chargepipes can be trimmed, but I'm looking for ones that fit best out of the box and fit the engine cover properly. Let me know what you guys got and how they fit. TIA.

I bought some VTT Silicone charge pipes, fitment wasn't that good. The engine cover would not fit at all so I ended up trimming the charge pipes to make them fit tighter, added two washers to the engine cover mount by the charge pipes and it fits perfect. Also I grabbed a red auto body pad and scuffed up the charge pipe so they weren't shiny anymore to make them look dull and oem and get rid of the ugly VTT emblem on them.

I've had VTT and ARM silly tubes and neither fit the upper engine cover right. Both brands needed trimming to fit snug up against the engine but the upper cover still didn't fit.

ESS are the best silicone charge pipes we’ve installed, hands down.

Great idea on scuffing up the shiny finish! The logo also bothers me and have been thinking of a way to get rid of the logo. Thanks! What worked best for the trimming?

Do the ESS CPs need to be trimmed to fit the engine cover?

You trim with a hose clamp snugged around the tube, then use a new sharp razor blade in a utility knife to cut. You get the point in there using the edge of the hose clamp as a guide. Then a little black Sharpie to color up the center fibers.

I use Burger Tuning ones and have been very happy with them, However I do not run an engine cover and I have no idea if it will fit.

+1 for ESS fitment, never had any issues.

ARM is the most popular with our customers, also highly rated

Yo.

I have the ARM pipes, and I like them quite a bit. The fit is spot on and they look great.

I used a heat gun to "mold" the stock engine cover around the thicker silicone. It looks stock, and doesnt interfere with anything. The plastic the stock engine cover is made of reminded me of the plastic ski boots are made from, so I used the same method as I have when I was a ski boot fitter. Worked great.

Check out my posts in my profile. I posted picks on another thread.

I have ARM charge pipes and the engine cover did not fit properly. I ended up having to trim the silicone pipe closest to the firewall, and dremel the engine cover a bit for it to sit correctly.

If I could do it over again, I'd probably just get mishimoto or an aluminum CP with good fitment. For me at least, I won't see the slight performance benefit from silicone vs aluminum.

No noticeable difference between silicon and aluminum

Silicone is easier to fit that's all
