What did i break (installing springs)

Installing M&S springs on my F83 this weekend. While installing the rear driver side spring there is a plastic/rubber connection that broke at the tab where the screw inserts, please see attached pic. Can someone help identify the part name and number? Would it be unsafe to drive with just epoxy to fix the broken tab and hand tightening this plastic piece for now?

Looks like leveling sensor.

Would it be fine to epoxy the tab? I'm not sure if this has load on it but i assume not since its pretty crap plastic.

The actual broken piece looks more like the arm for part 1 to me

Yo!

I bet some epoxy would be fine on that. At least until you were able to get a replacement.

Dang, I bet gorilla glue would be fine. Just clamp it so the inner surface is even as it appears to rely on the knurled surface for grip on the post it attaches to.

Good luck!

Agree on epoxy. It's not truly a load bearing unit, it's mainly responsible for articulation. I'd love to always have new parts, but in a situation like this, I'd rock the repair.

I agree on the epoxy approach(temporary) Clean the surfaces as best you can. I would also wrap a thin strip of epoxy soaked nylon fabric around the outer curve. It's not a load bearing part but it is subject to a LOT of movement (vibration/harshness), water and prob a bit of heat. Worst case your headlight level might be a bit out if you neither do the repairs nor replace with a new part. G/L

I broke mine when I forgot to unbolt it doing rear suspension work. Broke exactly like yours did, superglued it back together, it's been working fine for a year and a half.
