12v plug locations

Can someone tell me if there is a 12 v female plug near the front cup/sunglass holder just above the shifter on the f80? I know they have them in the back near the vents and below the glovebox but unsure where the best place is to plug in my radar detector. Hoping one is at the cup holder location. Looked at a bunch of online photos but nothing I saw was conclusive. Thanks

Are you referring to the "ash tray" area?

if you got a V1 they have a handy OBD2 port power connector so you can discretely mount it.

I wish. Where I'm at we need to go stealth, so I use a Redline. But thanks for the tip, maybe Escort has something similar?

I drove my previous brand new M3 across country and back (14k miles) one summer and was only pulled over 2 times (no license plate) and both times I was in the great state of Virginia!!
over 13,500 miles of driving in 31 other states without incident, except for Virginia, where they wanted to search the entire vehicle for guns and contraband...

What gives?

NOVA, Fairfax county is a great place to live, but to far outside the beltway things can get a bit weird, fast!

You are guilty of undiscovered crimes until proven not guilty?

I hooked up my V1 to the one under the glove box. basically followed this guy's instructions but went to the right instead of the left. install is super clean no need for Savvy http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1027061

Beltronics STiR Plus is the way to go. Redline is awesome but dash/windshield mounted.

Agreed. But I like the portability and cost point on the RL. I just need to figure out the best way to hide it inside the cabin so that it becomes as stealth as possible.

Anyone with tips, will be appreciated though I have been searching online for best placement and have found some pretty inventive solutions.
