Is BMW missing the boat? Great we will get an M4 GTS with a 6 cylinder at $100,000 plus easily. Maybe $150,000? Cadillac slides an LS7 in the ATS V and it will most likely be under $80,000. Yes my numbers are purely guessing. We all know BMW pricing system though. Just a quote from MT. "Even if the LS7 receives no updates before serving in the ATS-V+, it would still be more powerful than the standard ATS-V's 464-hp, 445-lb-ft twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6. It would also be lighter." Hell might be freezing over. I was holding out for an F80 comp package, but might wait to see the stats on this. It has already proven it can handle as the ATS-V. LS7 puts out 505 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque. Food for thought. Sorry repost!

is BMW missing the boat? maybe, but they dont have a choice
BMW is making cars that they have to. The world needs and demands certain cars. Only in the US could we get away with mass producing a big displacement N/A V8 engine. I think with everyone in Europe switching over these turbo small displacement, and the US still making badass engines is epic. |
