Guess I'd better sell my M4 - it is just an overpriced piece of garbage

Funny they spent 81k on it, yet I spent 71k and I have leather everything, adaptive suspension and all that. I guarantee the interior of my car is LEAPS and BOUNDS better than a Camaro, as it should be. I bet it feels more special, as it should also. They say no heated steering wheel but yet comfort access?? I thought that was all in the executive package?
All reviews always have the CCB's, I don't understand why. Built an M4 like theirs with adaptive, no CCB's for 72,095. |

Yes that is one gripe i have about the reviewing, they complain it is 81k but they optioned the carbon ceramics and didn't option the leather or comfort access or any of those fancy things. So yes if you forego the carbon ceramics and option in the other things you'll come out under 81k.
The carbon ceramics helped the M4 get the better time on the track but they wrote that off as "just about the same" |

I'm genuinely curious, where exactly did they get a 2015 M4 without exec package or the adaptive M suspension, and with cloth seats and CCB's? Did BMW seriously give them a one-year old car with that configuration for a head to head against a well-equipped camaro?

I can't say I agree with everything in the review. However, I can say that other manufacturers have caught up and, relative to US companies, have done so at a lower price point. This was pretty obvious to me with my C7 Corvette. I wouldn't buy a Camaro for subjective reasons (styling mostly on the inside) but many people like it and, as shown here, if you like the styling there would be no real reason to choose the BMW unless you wanted the status of a badge. I'm hoping BMW responds to this with the next M3/4 and shuts up the critics Regardless, I love my M4 and am pretty happy with it.

See above... I don't think we can blame the configuration of the car on the result. That's just an excuse because we don't like their conclusion.

That was an embarrassing loss for the M4. Pretty much everything they said in favor of the Camaro seemed perfectly valid. Only a fanboy would argue otherwise.
That being said I still wouldn't buy a Camaro. I'm really curious to see what the results would have been if they compared the Camaro against the new C63 coupe. |

Unfortunately, they're right.
BMW fucked up by putting fake engine noises through the speakers, and by disconnecting the driver from the road. Things that should be standard on luxury cars, aren't standard on the M4 and costs more money. Stock exhaust sounds like a fart can, and the upgraded exhaust is about 3000$ or so. They have alot of work to do, especially since GM is catching up. |

My main problem with the review is that the M4 they describe sounds nothing like the M4 that I drive every day. For me, it has nothing to do with the Camaro, but I believe that the review of the M4 was not accurate. Oh well, it is their opinion.

It's hard to tell from a video how the car really sounded... I agree, however, that the M4 sounds good. Some disagree but I always like the sound.

I'm not blaming the configuration for the result, though they did complain about the missing features on the car. I'm just very surprised BMW would have sent this particular car for a head to head.
