According to these guys the Ghibli has more HP and is a much better car, lol. I go to Lifetime Fitness and there are a few of these, all driven by D-bags. And every single MILF is In a white Range Rover, lol. So predictable

Anytime a premium brand comes out with an "affordable" version of it's product, you have to question why and what they did in order to reach the level of affordability.
The guttural reaction is that the company is not doing well and that they need to release a product that will increase sales and profit margins. Sometimes the consumers are the "victims" of such releases. It's not prevalent to them because all the see is the Maserati label. |

Never liked Maserati as a car fan. Normal people still think they are like Ferraris and that's exactly how Maserati try to trick those non car persons into buying their "exotic" cars.

Haha this. One of my buddies parents just got one (we're 22) and all of our friends are mind blown when they see it just because it's a "Maserati." Before purchasing my m4 I just looked at the coupes for fun, and honestly still wasn't impressed enough to shell out the money they ask for them. IMO you are definitely paying for the name more than the performance and quality you get from the car, poor mans Ferrari if you ask me.

No. All they see is the Trident. I had a funny thing happen this past weekend which kinda has something in common with this thread. The wife and I were at Thermal for M school and one of the other participants that had a Maserati coupe asked the instructor if his car could do what the M cars could on the track. The response (which I knew already) was no. The instructor let him down easily and begin speaking about the weight of his car. Basically as others have said bloated, heavy, wanna be Ferrari.
