Can I run 305's in the back and 255 in front on 19's?

Hi guys, so just got in my 19's 9.5+22/ 19's 10.5 +34 wheels in. I ordered the Mp4s 305's/30/19 for the rear which came in but the 265/35/19 I ordered are not going to be here until June (extremely back ordered).

I was wondering is it okay for me to just put my current 255/35/19 on in the front while running the 305's in the back? Will that be okay or will I run into any complications? My current 255 in the fronts are mp4s as well.

Greatly appreciate the help

1) your car will understeer and feel off balance in the corners

2) it'll look funny

I think 275/305 is better.

Can I fit 275/35 in the front on 19x9.5+22 for fronts? If I can, I can just throw on my back tires in the front then..

No. You will ruin the fenders.

I run a very similar setup when the car is in the track mode. I use Apex wheels though.

Yes, but the front of the wheel wells will require some remolding with a heat gun.

I'm running 275/35r19 on 19 x 9.5 et+22 and they rubbed a bit on full lock, but another thing to consider is that I'm also in an F82 which are a little more forgiving in regards to front clearance, so YMMV.

My F80 had 275/30/20 PS4S on 20 x 9.5 ET +22 when I purchased it and I had quite a bit of rubbing/damage on the liners where indicated in the pictures above. I went down to 265s on the front which resolved it. People seem to have mixed results when running this size with the F82 appearing to be less of an issue as MJ6 mentioned. I have seen a few posts from F80 guys that either have no issues, just required some heat gun tweaking, or couldn't make it work like me.

I think 255s on the 9.5 wheels may look a little stretched. I really liked the look of the 275s on mine but it wasn't worth the headache for me.

Would the tire shop be willing to mount one of the 275s up quick so you can see what you have to work with?

265/285, 275/305..So do you think the BMW engineers and testers who chose 255/275 19 don't understand anything and don't know what they are doing?

The engineers were likely reined in by the bean-counters at some level -- wider tires cost BMW more. Stock isn't necessarily the best option.
