I am trying to get a set, but its a bit tricky as the fronts and rears are shipping from different places.

Where did you buy them? Tire Rack has them in stock.

I just got the tires, and I realized that they are directional. Has anyone tried running them in reverse? That would make it easier to swap side to side between events on the same track.

Should be fine to do in the dry. I run RS4s backwards like that.

I'm wondering how they stack up against Cup 2s.

My experience is that they will last significantly longer than cup 2s. I was on a set of new Cup 2s and they were pretty beat up after one day (2.5 hrs). They also definitely handle heat much better than Cup 2s. I would have to constantly do a cool down lap or two on the Cup2s but the Conti's are extremely consistent
