minn19 to be honest, I think BMW is being generous again with their 0 - 60s. They always have been. I am fairly certain the AWD will offset this weight problem because it is the same with M5, X3M Comp.... M8... etc. The car will most definitely be faster but it will also definitely be way heavier.

They been banning people left right and center for criticizing the G8x.

It's a little excessive as if the mods there just don't want people to criticize the car or something.

BMW KNOWS a good majority do not like the design. Trying to lessen this complaint against BMW on the boards doesn't make it go away on social media.

Though, in the mods defense, it is pretty useless to have someone repeating a negative opinion so I don't blame them but they should have a place for people to discuss how much they hate the car - isn't that what forums are for?

That is hilarious. Pretty soon they aren't going to have many people there I'd imagine.

I just realized more bad, why the F would you put a fake vent on the side? It serves no purpose and doesn't even look good. Just more tacked on out of place things in the design.

I saw the Jalopnik article with the full M Performance bits on it and it got worse.

My dad got season tickets when they first moved here. Hockey is by far the best sport to watch live.

I don't care about anything else but a Stanley Cup before I die. The Wild are long way away from one to.

Funny thing is the Minnesota North Stars.............not that stupid team in Dallas right now went to a Stanley Cup Final when I was in High School. They lost in 6 games mainly to a couple of a players you may have heard of, named Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr. There was no beating them and the Penguins that year.

Wow, great memories! I'm also just barely old enough to remember the vikings at the met when I was a real little kid too - we brought boat cushions (when those existed) to put on the aluminum benches, we had a big plaid wool blanket, and we'd bring thermoses of chicken soup.

I just remember how bizarre it was when the North Stars left Minnesota - how could Minnesota NOT have a hockey team?!?? And then how could our team go to TEXAS??? Like who-shot-JR Texas?? WTAF?? it'd be like the Twins going to NYC.

It's probably for the best for me because I can't help but hate on that monstrosity so it'd just be aggravating. Anyway, back then very few people - only people who actually drove - even knew what an M3 was much less appreciated it ... but those few grew the M3 into an icon!

My kid just recently watched the first Mighty Ducks and she commented on how bad it looked with the multi colored seats compared to X now. I agreed with her, but man I had great memories in that building.

Again agreed, I loved M3s since the 80s when I went to Milpitas HS briefly adn one of the rich kids had a manual E30.

And I sometimes still want Scirocco, those were badass.

Ha I was up in Hayward briefly then, very late 80s - My family lived in MN but I had done an exchange program and met a california chick I figured out a way to spend a summer in california ... I still remember this party on east bay skyline ave just a few houses down from Belinda Carlisle (I guess), and this guy pulls in a new Porsche 928 and a few of us were over standing around it and then a friend, Kirk, pulls up in his 16th birthday present, a Scirocco. Massive crowd. Poor Porsche guy

Anyway, aren't they coming out with a new Scirocco??

My dream car would be a white or british racing green 1987 porsche turbo. My wife is up for finding one, but ... maybe it's better not to meet your heroes.

Dunno about the new Scirocco. I was reading about the new VW electric bus and was kind of geeking out over those.

My high school years were weird for me. I went to one in WI for 9th grade and one in MN for 10th. Then three in 11th grade, two in CA (Milpitas HS and Camarillo HS) and then back in MN for 11th and 12th. Been here ever since after meeting a second nice MN girl. First one not so nice.

Totally! I was posting about that on the Tesla thread (before it was clubbed to death for being part of the politics forum - it was actually an excellent thread, lots of good people exchanging different views ... the new one isn't as active)

On chicks, yeah my first serious MN chick was not so nice either ... like in the literally turned-into-a-pathological-liar way. If I didn't know this was krysten ritter I'd swear it was my ex is an old memory

I wasn't around cars that early to know any better. Still in middle school/elementary school during those days.

All I can point out to someone mentioning this. Porsche has caught hell for changing the 911 before, the 996. They quickly walked back on the design language change and oh my god the 996 looks hideous.OF course their Boxster/Cayman engine change very recently was walked back on too after the sales for those cars almost flatlined due to the loss of the Flat 6. I know also there are a lot of demand for the former C4S before the current 992 due to the fact that it still had an NA Flat 6. In fact... when I was in the midst of signing/ordering the Macan GTS, my uncle helped a family friend to buy a used C4S for that reason. The NA Flat 6. The car has been signed by a close friend of my cousin and sent to Taiwan to his father (who is the one that wanted it).

I get it, BP mods are just tired of having to keep the complaints to the minimum since it's getting too much of a, everyone repeating the same thing. But like I said, criticism like this will only get BMW to understand them doing this to the M3 (ESPECIALLY the M3) is the worse idea they could have done.

Not to mention they didn't even keep their promise to keep the M3 and M4 siblings apart. They look the same. What a huge load.
