Curious on your rear wheel specs. I'm considering the ECS too, but they dont offer 295/30R19, which leaves it between 285/35R19 or the 305/30R19 that you are going with.

TIA

What is the width/offset of the wheel?
I?m debating between these 2 rears, which will be partly determined by the tire size offerings...

Just installed these today. 265/35/19 and 305/30/19.

Chunky monkeys.

For the 10.5" rear, I'd do the 285/35/19. For the 11" rear, is do the 305/30/19.

It also depends on the front size.

I'm running the same overall diameter front/rear. I would have preferred the 295/35/19 for the rear but it was more expensive. Since these are gonna be my spare set of wheels, I didn't really care.

I just installed Signature SV107 19x9.5 ET20 and 19x10.5 ET33. 265 & 285/35s

I have MP HAS installed. There are no issues with these hooking up under full throttle. Corners/slalom tests are quite good too.

Thanks.

Yeah, for the 10.5, no question, I'd be going with the 285...
265/35 on a 9.5 +23
285/35 on a 11.0 +37

My concern with the 305 is rubbing. What are your wheel specs and suspension set up?

Have you noticed any issues with the same overall diameter of the 265/35 + 305/30?

Also....do you think there would be clearance issues with the 295/35 rear? Technically, I thats a potential option for me too..

TIA

I got to put these Conti ExtremeContact Sport to the test on an epic 1000+ mile road trip. They are a great touring tire. I even had to go through about 5 miles of unpaved gravel (not my choice, I got stuck on a 1 lane construction zone). They're very comfortable and quiet, the price is good, and I also think they look pretty good. And since I already knew they performed well at Thermal, they're a winner in my book. The only thing I haven't been able to test it on is when it rains. Regardless, I really dig these tires and will be getting a set on my Signature wheels when the RE71Rs wear out.

SPECS:
BC Forged RZ05 - 19x9.5 et20 front / 19x11 et40 rear
Tires are Conti ECS - 265x35 front / 305x30 rear
Suspension is JRZ RS Two Sport. -2.2 degrees of camber all the way around.

Thank you for the feedback! Hopefully Continental does another rebate promotion again. I just missed the one in August.

I am definitely going to purchase a set of these for my Black Series. Michelin doesn't make the PS4S in the rear size I need and these seem like a great alternative choice. When I purchase tires they have to be good looking as well, especially the sidewall design. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who takes this into consideration.

Just ordered a set for my F80 - 265/285. Will have them installed on the 20th, hoping they're a decent alternative to the current MPSS.

Can we run these with a 265 / 305 setup on stock 19 inch wheels? Assuming no lowering and the rest of suspension is also stock.

Yes you can. But you'll probably take a hit in the handling department due to the sidewall being at an angle. Might be okay for drag racing though. Still, it'll look kinda stupid.

265/35 and 285/35 is a better option for OEM wheels. You'll also keep the diameter stagger.

Why not stick with a 255/35 front since it it made for a 9" wheel instead of the 265/36 which is made for a 9.5" wheel? The 285/35 in the rear should be perfect though.

Yes. Ideally, you'd want to stick with a 255/35 for the front while going with a 275/35 for the rear (not 285/35). Diameter stagger will stay true to OEM ratio. However, I imagine 2kaccordocoupe wanted to go wider; he was asking about 305s after all.

So yeah, a 265/35 on a 9" wheel will be a bit wide, but so will a 285/35 on a 10" wheel. And despite both tires being a bit wide for the width of the OEM wheels, they will be very close to the OEM diameter ratio.

One more note.
Technically, my set up isn't ideal. My 265/35/19 + 305/30/19 on a 9.5" and 11" wheel actually results in the rear diameter being slightly smaller. People have reported that taking this size to the track will trigger DSC a bit. What I should have done was get a 10.5" wheel for the rear. That would have allowed me to go with a 285/35 or 295/35 for the rear. But it is what it is. My other set of wheels have a 10" front and 11" rear.

I believe the 285/35 are made for a 10" wheel so they should be a perfect fit. The factory 275/35 are actually made for a 9.5" wheel but obviously fit just fine on a 10" wheel.

I guess moving up to a 265/35 in front along with a 285/35 in the rear would keep the oem stagger closer, but correct me if im wrong that leaving the front size alone at 255/35 and going to 285/35 in the rear would actually result in a slight decrease in DSC intervention.

See my post above. I put 265/285 first on stock OEM 19" and there was less electronic intervention-- compared to the PSS 255/275. I've never driven an F80 platform with 255/285 on 19"-- yet, I'd do the ECS 265/285 without hesitation. The tires are great and Way underrated, in this forum at least.

Over 3 months with these tires, I am still just impressed. Did a spirited drive in the foothills over weekend--clearly hook up better than Michelin PSS.

With the ECS, there is virtually no loss of traction under any condition including full throttle from stop or upshifting (stock motor, BMW MP Coilovers). Cornering, braking just as impressive.

265/285 19inch wheels (9.5 and 10.5 wheel width)

The ECS also prove their worth during track days. Michelin gets a lot of love; yet, I think some of you are overlooking a real good tire.

Does anyone have feedback on how they perform on cold, dry roads? I have a dedicated wheel/tire set for the winter but here in Denver, we have many weeks in Fall and Spring with daytime temps in 70s and evenings in 30s/40s. If a tire is acceptable in the colder temps, I will prefer it over a strictly summer-only tire.

I have driven the tire with temps in the 40s and they are better than the Michelin PSS. Good traction like onramps in N. CA where the PSS broke free under similar conditions/same onramp.

I don't know how the ECS will respond with temps in the 30s yet.
