Do you regret your color choice?
I've ordered my F83, San Marino Blue/Golden Brown interior. My current car is 2011 M3 vert, Alpine White. I really like the blue BUT keep wondering about the white, since that's what I'm used to.
Thoughts? Has anyone seen a SM Blue in person? |

I don't care how many white ones are out there, I've yet to see a twin and I love the contrast of black/CF and white, I can't imagine living with a more of a look at me color, I get more attention than I wish for sometimes

I originally wanted MW on sakhir. Couldn't find a clean one with the specific options I wanted. And I only had 6 months to before I'd lose my tax break.
Found a very clean silverstone/black car at a Porsche dealer. Pretty happy I went with it. Silverstone is pretty rare by comparison to other colors, it's only available on M cars, and I like how it shifts based on lighting and it shows off the lines very well.

I don't regret getting Mineral White for a second, mainly because of how clean it stays. It's just a low maintenance color. But if I was buying the same car today, I would have gotten either SMB or Twilight Purple, with the determining factor being how confident I would be to own a purple car at the time of purchase. I didn't even know Twilight Purple existed at the time, so I'm not kicking myself that badly over it.
But SMB is awesome. It's the most electric blue out there. Shame BMW didn't offer it in the US as a standard color. |

I am on my 2nd SMB F82 ('16 and now a '20). I wish my lease timing was better because now knowing there's the Leguna Seca blue option now for no cost, I'd of likely switched to that.
The standard colors for these cars were a total shaft until '20. I paid for IND in '16, and luckily was able to get SMB for '20 at no cost (except the metallic paint charge). So in essence, I'm driving the same car for 6 years. I'm happy, no real regrets, but when I saw the two blue options for the (is it heritage edition?) car, I lamented for literally a minute. |

I have a SMB...but I wish I went w/ Alpine White. Decided to try something different after owning a AW 335is and M4. Cookies & Cream is my favorite ice cream and contrast (AW exterior; Black interior).
One other thing about SMB...IT SUCKS TO KEEP CLEAN! It gets dirtier quicker than any other color I've ever had!!! That or it's just more apparent

Alpine White for me and I have no regrets. AW on my E46 and here on the F80 as well.
A lot of white out there is for sure but one thing you cannot beat is how well it hides the dirt. We all know how easy the dirt can get to the front doors and rear bumper after a short drive. AW with ceramic coating is even better as it makes the white looks a lot thicker and it's just classic imo. Not to mention the heat here in can get close to 40*C sometime and it helps. |

I bought mine pre-owned, but it was the Tanzanite Blue over Silverstone that caught my eye. I've never owned a white BMW, and likely never will, although I previously owned a white Porsche 944S2 convertible with navy blue top and interior. I did love that color combination!

Between the dust and Chicago crapshoot weather, it just wasn't worth the maintenance to me. I loved the car, but I had to get rid of it because I was legitimately an angrier person always driving a dirty car. My mood greatly reflects the cleanliness of my car, and I just take it way too personally if my car's dirty. After 3 years I knew I couldn't change, so the car had to. My cars are garaged, and the M3 isn't really fun at all to me in the rain, so if I only drive it on dry days, I only need to wash the car about 5 times per year. Mineral White is awesome in that respect. Less time maintaining and much much more time driving and enjoying the car. |

Hell nah. Everywhere I go there are people standing around at some point in parking lots gawking at it. People literally stop walking towards the restaurants we park at to take it in. I thought it would be mostly kids who liked it but often its been older folks checking it out or making comments. Java has a lot of depth to it and shifts from a deeper green to this amazing green-gold color when the light hits its curves.

My wife's 2018 M3 ZCP is Individual San Marino Blue and she payed ~$5,000 for it. She loves her SMB! I can't imagine why anyone would have second thoughts about this color. It's one of the best BMW blues ever offered. In the sun it's brilliant. In the shade it's a very nice bright blue. In the last year we've had total strangers who don't know anything about BMW Individual colors come up and ask us about the color and tell us that it's absolutely gorgeous. BMW people who don't know about Individual want to know what color it is. Knowledgeable BMW people are beside themselves when they see it. It's an immediate hit anytime we show up at any BMW gathering.
You're very fortunate that you were able to get this unique and relatively rare color without paying an arm and a leg. And you would trade that for boring white, which is available on every BMW model ever made? My 2016 M4 is Sakhir Orange and I don't regret that choice for a second. Very distinctive, but if you want your car to look like a '60s refrigerator, then by all means get white. For reference, the middle car is a 2006 Z4 M Roadster in Interlagos Blue.

Your won't be disappointed, the color is striking and changes a lot. I love it more when it's a little cloudy actually.
It does show dust quite a bit and unless you like bling, when combined with 666 it blings . I'm thus looking to change wheels. |

Yep this is the truth. You should have no regrets. Alpine is clean yeah.... but if there's M specific colors available only to this platform, go for it and stand out. You bought the M anyway which is clearly a stand out on its own.
