I highly recommend shawnsheridan if you want to code Apple CarPlay in your M3/M4. I bought an ENET cable from Amazon and coordinated the payment and code with his contact. Several hours later I got Apple CarPlay installed in my M3 and it worked flawlessly. Thanks again.

Move Vertical bar to right side

Hi,

I got apple carplay via bimmertech but my bar is on the left side. As my car is rhd, it would make sense for the vertical bar to be on the right and have confirmed with others here who has it in rhd. Will be useful when I have a touch screen to reach.

Is there a simple way to do Rhd bar via coding? Bimmertech hasn't been able to answer me.

Thanks

Yes it is possible.
Send me PM with your NBTEvo version for details.

Just want to say thanks to kubax86 for getting me a few things done at an AWESOME PRICE! I have wanted to get this done for a while now, but it seems that most people charge out the ass for it. kubax86 has a very reasonable price, and on top of that, The guy is awesome to work with... even if he is across the world HA!

Things I got done:
  • CarPlay Activated
  • iDrive 6 - Love the new look.
  • Maps updated to 2019-3
  • Misc. coding and a few other things

Some pictures below.

Thanks again kubax86. I wish more vendors are like you.

Smile Full Screen CarPlay

Just a quick shout out to kubax86 - purchased the Lifetime Carplay and Full Screen package. Download link was sent within on hour of payment being made and everything went through very smoothly.

I've seen elsewhere there is some talk of the software not working on a mac, but to confirm I used a Macbook Pro running Windows 10 via Bootcamp and using a lightning to RJ45 adaptor - the only point to note is that Bootcamp Windows wont recognise the lightning connection as hot stoppable, so you need to boot with it in place. Other than that, went very smoothly and took 10 mins tops from start to finish.

Very pleased with the result - I was especially pleased when I realised that kubax86 had coded the menu buttons to appear on the right hand side of the screen as I have a RHD car (UK) - didn't even ask for that, so very impressed.

Thanks to kubax86 for acting my wife's 2017 X3 Carplay (WiFi) + full screen.

So ridiculous that BMW doesn't have this enabled for cars for which it COULD be enabled.

Changing the whole unit would be required.

I've never seen anyone say retrofitting a NBT to NBT EVO is "easy", much less super easy.

Numerous Wiring changes, TCB to ATM for GPS, FSC codes and eSys coding.

It's a complicated job.....not easy.

An early model NBT EVO to NBT EVO would be much easier.

EDIT: Based on your other thread, you paid a Company ~$2k to do all the coding work for you. That's far different as spending a lot can make anything "easy".
