Spoiler fitment issues

ECS Tuning carbon fiber spoiler

All, I just purchased a 2017 M3 w comp pkg and love it. I'm interested in adding some carbon fiber now and bought a spoiler from ECS and the only thing worse than the order to shipment process was the fact that it doesn't fit. See pics below. Anyone have similar issues with them and can you help guide me to a solid company where I can get one relatively quick. Thanks in advance for any help!

How can you tell it doesn't fit if you didn't even properly try to install it?

When the ends don't reach the edge of the trunk lid and curve up prematurely as seen next to the factory spoiler. All others I see out there including the pic on ECS website show it following trunk lines. In addition I measured it and doesn't fit. If I'm wrong tell me as this is my first attempt at any aftermarket improvements

Personally, I had OEM Carbon Spoiler. It fits to the edges, same as your painted oem.

My opinion, it's shorter than oem. Installing it on the edge of the deck lid after current spoiler is removed doesn't miraculously cause the spoiler to stretch.

You really need to find out from ECS what the length is supposed to be. If they say the same as OEM clearly it's not.

It looks like you got a spoiler for an E-series. Make sure you buy F80 or F30 spoiler. F82 or F32 doesn’t fit as well.

Could be. I will give them a call and see if it can be returned/exchanged

Just buy OEM and you won’t have to deal with these headaches.

I work in a dealer and It looks like you got the spoiler for an M2 or 2 Series. We had one that had to be returned.

Had that happen to me before. A different company sent me a e92 m3 spoiler. Anyway just send that picture to ecs customer support and I'm sure they'll take of it.

I second OEM and I don't say that just for quality and fitment but I honestly think that BMW makes a really nice looking CF spoiler for the F80. It is neither too big and neither too small. I see folks adding those aftermarket high kick spoilers that look really off. Atleast that's my opinion but to each their own.

Thanks I reached back out to ECS and they were good about the return and ordered the M performance spoiler as recommended! 🤞
