I have that same one minus the Kies stamp Coz mine came from another reseller. Like I said I have 3 of those all different styles. But none of them would work. Frustrating. My laptop works every single time. But the iPhone would have been convenient but I can’t even call this flaky.

It’s always red on top. Not connected. Two diff OBD cables. 3 diff adapters. This app can’t be that picky.

Are you by any chance on the iOS 15 beta? I haven’t been able to connect anything via Ethernet on any app since the update.

I noticed this issue as well, I have a few devices running on iOS 15 and Ethernet connections seem to just not work. Whether it's a ENET cable or with a Ethernet connection to a router the device does not connect.

How are you guys running 15? Newest official is just 14.7.1. I’m on 14.7 but even the version before that wasn’t connecting.

You can download the iOS beta profile and it’ll let you download iOS 15. Have you tried connecting with a different device like an iPad?

Well, I keep having the issue. Bought a new ENET cable, still the same issue. Bought a new lightening to Ethernet adapter and it comes tomorrow so we'll see if that fixes it.

If that doesn't fix it then it's gotta be an iOS issue. I'm still on 14.7.1.

So we'll see, never had an issue until recently.

I just tried again on my iPhone and iPad Pro (14.7.1) and both wouldn’t see the car. I’ve changed the IP address as per instructions. No luck. I’m not sure about the others but I have had near zero luck with BM3 and the iOS. The ONE time my phone got connected, the flash didn't finish. I had to redo it on my MBP laptop which has been problem-free. I really just hate having the MBP on the car with me. The phone or the iPad would have been more ideal but just isn’t the case for me. I’m sure a few has this same issue.

I've done it a bunch of times before with the phone and had no problem. Using static IP and all the right stuff. I also user bimmercode the same way and it's been no issue.

Now bimmercode won't see it either, so I'm fairly confident its not a BM3 thing.. I've ruled out all but the lightning adapter. A new one came in the mail tonight so when I get home ill check.

I don't flash that often but I also don't have a laptop at home so the mobile was a big deal for convenience.

Confirmed 14.7.1 works for me. Just flashed my car the other day

I'm pretty clueless myself why it won't.

I'll borrow my brother's enet cable and see if that does anything different.

Like I said I've tried two different devices (iPad Pro & iPhone 11 MAX) with the 3 adapters. If I bring in another enet cable then that's 12 diff combinations.

I'm on 14.7.1; when I plug the phone into my home router using the dongle it gets an IP right away. I'm just trying to see if it's the device or the dongle or the car.. looking more likely to be the car.. why, I dunno.

So I was able to flash tonight with my mobile phone. I did nothing different, except one thing.

The car wouldn't get an IP address with the ignigition pressed 1-time. I had to start the car and then it got connected. I verified it was connected with the Dashboard. I then turned off the car and pushed the ignition once and waited about 5 mins to make sure it stayed connected. It remained connected. I flashed and it was fine.

Really don't get why this was any different other then what I listed but none the less. It was fine.

I've just tried this steps with no luck. First the usual way of ACC on, waited, refreshed several times. Nada. Started the car, waited, refreshed several times. Nada.

Try manually setting the ip network:

Are you guys disabling wifi on your phones first? If you do not, it will not connect.

Yup, wifi disabled so CarPlay won't engage.

Yup, manual IP: 169.254.250.250 with Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

No luck. Eventually I'll get this working. Eventually.
