Evolution Racewerks sport cats, coated. Mild smell, better sound and a little power. I did get the CEL but BM3 covers that. When I had to do PA inspections it was a problem.

I've used the Turner catted down pipes on a previous Civic M4 build - excellent price point. Not the easiest to fit (real pain in the neck actually) but no leaks either. Ultimately it was too loud for me. But the turbo spool did sound pretty cool admittedly. No difference in smell that I noticed. I used an O2 sensor spacer so never had an issue with CEL's.

Dont mean to hijack the thread but can you show me how to get these o2 sensor spacers? I found a couple of videos online but not sure which would work for the f82

OP,
I used the Evolution Racewerks catted on my M4 and was very happy with the quality and fitment.

With that being said, it would be wise to invest in Active Autowerke downpipes as they use GESI cats with no check engine light

Mike, do you sell the AA GESIs? I think so.

If yes then PM Mike. It's a no brainer to get everything through X-PH.

CTS Turbo.
Mild smell at cold start.
Perfect fitment and easy install.
Yes they throw a cat code.

Definitely would not pay $$$$ for catted downpipes as they did not make much difference for me on the butt dyno. Didn't hurt my feelings much at $600, but at $2K I would have had a hard time sleeping that first night.

I ran the active resonated equal length w/ Remus axle back

with stock downpipes, the sound is so close to stock it is disappointing
with high flow catted downpipe, its the best sound you can get from the S55

the fact that you can get this sound without a CEL is what makes it a popular option not necessarily the power difference

I have the resonated EL and Dinan catback, and now the downpipes. Sounds great most of the time. I wouldn't mind a little deeper tone, though.
CEL is gone with BM3, so no big deal there. But I do want cats either way. Trying to be a better custodian of the planet these days.

Honestly, I don't recall having any issues with it. But admittedly that could be because the most memorable thing about the install was the fitment issues I had with the actual down pipes. Here's how it should look though - I hope this is helpful:

thank you for the photos bro, i'm gonna try to do it myself, maybe i dont need to screw the sensor in all the way until it bottoms out.

EDIT:

On a second look, the spacer you used seems different from the dorman 42009 18mm non-fouler, please refer to the photos.

If spacing is an issue then maybe the 42008 might be better rather than the 42009. They offer different spacing amounts beyond even these two it's just about nailing down what you need for your setup

https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-42008-...a-818040155435

Just confirm thread size once you have the right spacing… you get the point
