Clicking noise after installing lowering springs??
I had a shop install Eibach V1s probably about a month ago and it went perfectly. No issues and it has been great.
Last week, I noticed a slight click sound on the right side when turning the wheel all the way left or right. I could only hear it in parking garages, or with no outside noise. Over the last week, I can hear it getting worse. It seems to be more sensitive to any turn of the wheel now. Jumping on here to see if anyone could help me figure out what it is? |

You'll need to get it on a lift to investigate the issue further.

The spring rotates as you turn the steering wheel. On aftermarket coilovers you can add thrust sheets or a Torrington needle bearing to allow the spring to rotate freely. In your case, the spring is sticking then slipping which creates the sound you’re hearing. As a test, apply a dry film lubricant to the bottom and top of the spring. If the noise goes away then the stick-slip is what’s causing the noise as you turn the steering wheel. Applying the dry film lubricant is a temporary fix.

it is a common problem, shock not properly seated in the knuckle or debris between the knuckle and shock , also BMW has a special tool to pull the shock into knuckle.but most of the installation does not use this tool.
