If you are after a monotube system with very precise damping, stiff but not harsh street ride and excellent track performance, Ohlins is the way to go.

V3 is not bad for lowering the car and gain some performance. The use of soft and progressive springs keeps it from performing to its full potential at the track.

Both should do well through the winter months.

KW 3-way Clubsport if you are interested in tracking your car.

A lot of people have had good results with coilovers socks for the winter months. Rally cars use them occasionally to keep out the mud. They're a cheap and very low tech way of keeping dirt/salt off the strut assembly. They're also agnostic so you can use them on what ever coilover you decide to get.
