Does anybody know if the top eyebrow of our windshield contains metallic? Reason I ask is I have my v1 up high and do not want to hurt the performance

It's amazing how a simple question allows you to make the assumption, a very poor one I might add, that I am some sort of reckless driver. If you understand the community behind radar detectors and laser jammers among other counter measures, it would make sense. I'm not holding my breath.

I run my V1 in the exact same spot and it works just fine. Had it there in my previous X5 and E90 M3 as well.

I run my V1 on the passenger side about that high and it performs well. The range on that thing is amazing.... Enjoy!

I also mounted my V1 in the same spot, only on the passenger's side, before I got my Blendmount.

Those dots at the edge of the windshield glass are called the frit and are either ceramic or enamel: http://jalopnik.com/heres-what-those...r-c-1791075995

I've had my Escort 9500 mounted up there for 2 years, not that I would see a small decrease in performance, but it's fine.
