2016 F82 axle-back system with lowest note

New member here, don't torch me. I searched around various threads but didn't really find the direction I was looking for. I have a newly purchased F82 with a few mods (downpipe, intake, etc.). All bolt-ons, and a slight tune. One is the mods is axle-back Dinan exhaust system, which makes the car sound like a Subaru ricer.....who makes an axle-back system that has the lowest tone/note? Trying to replicate the gutteral burble of my 67 Hemi Coronet. Yes, I know can't get quite there, but who makes the lowest sounding system for a M4?

There’s only so much you can do with the s55 exhaust sound. There are 100s of posts with audio/video of different exhaust setups. Stock, the s55 sounds like two 3-cylinder engines. You need to swap midpipes if you’re looking to change/improve the sound of the s55. A different axle-back muffler will have a small effect on overall sound but no increase in volume.

Two main midpipe designs:

1. Single midpipe (shifts power curve to the right)
2. Equal-length midpipe (make it sound more like an I6, not two I3s)

I have an AA single mid + AA 3-can axle-back. I think it sounds good for a s55. If you’re looking for a more bass-like tone then an Akrapovic Titanium or MPE exhaust might be a good option for you. YouTube has almost all exhaust combos out there so a good place to get an idea on exhaust sounds. Sound is too subjective to recommend a setup that you’re guaranteed to like. Good luck!

Thanks for good input. The youtube vids with computer speakers never sound like reality, but certinaly I should be able to tell which is the lowest perceived tone.
