M-Gruppe Tech Inspection in North NJ (close to NYC) BMW Dealership

Hello All,

M Gruppe is proud to announce that our North Jersey partner dealership is hosting us for a tech inspection on a Saturday in late March.

We would love it if you came to this event and met some of the Gruppers and enjoyed some of the events being to provided to us (at no cost).

Itinerary

• - Demo performing an oil change flush and provide compression readings before/after. (S54 M-coupe)
• - Demo BMW graphed alignment for vehicles with independent rear suspension (M5 or M6)
• - Demo Paint-less Dent Removal (TBD)
• - On Display will have a M5 Comp with under panel and wheels removed and some other surprise vehicles!
• - Discuss discounted labor rate and parts discounts for M Gruppe members with the idea of brining your classic BMW in for service where a Master Tech will work on your car and you get a loaner vehicle to use

Food and drink will be provided.

M Gruppe members joining the event and want M Performance parts installed will be able to do so at the parts discount of 10% over cost and NO installation charge. NOTE: Depending on how many request installs, not all will be accommodated that day and you can schedule a more convenient day

How do I join?
Step 1: Register and become a member at www.mgruppe.org
Step 2: After you get your confirmation, please email to register for the event. NOTE: Space is limited and it's first come first serve. Once spaces are filled I will put people on a wait list (first come first serve)

Q: Do you charge to be a member?
A: No. It's free to be a member

Q: Do events cost money?
A: If the facilities charges, then yes. M-Gruppe does NOT charge money. For example: If we are at a track event, then the track event charges money and each attendees pay. If we go to dinner, then you pay for your food. If we do our own drive event, then you do not pay - because M-Gruppe does not charge

Q: Do you really get discounts with certain companies?
A: Absolutely. The specific vendors are listed on our website and available to all Gruppers

What is the markup on m performance parts to begin with? Seems like a few vendors have them for 20-25% off on ebay and some other sites.

Sorry, I have no idea what the markup is (I don't work for BMW). This 10% over cost is really good though. The no labor is a special for that event, so if you plan to join, please register soon and you can reach out to the dealer to schedule. Since it's one day, only a select few will get in.

Do NOT bother to get any parts from this place. Tried getting a quote for a couple parts and got a ridiculous quote. Even asked for them to double check the price reflected the "employee discount" which is what gruppers get (10% over cost price) and they said yes and they won't price match other dealers.

The dealer 5 miles from me quoted me way below what these people are offering with a "discount" smh either they hate their employees or the markup just reflects their greed and dishonesty.

+1 for M Gruppe though definitely join if you haven't already. Wish I could go to this!!

Hi,

Are you asking if you bring the parts, they do the work at no cost? I don't think that would be realistic. 10% over parts cost = some money in their pocket. Plus, even if that were not the issue, they cannot warranty parts they did not procure.

Sorry to hear your bad experience. Hopefully you will be able to attend to at least see the demonstration and meet some Gruppers

If an install cannot be done in the day of the event, March 23rd, the service manager will make accommodations for another time and provide a loaner car regardless of whether you purchased your car from Tenafly or not.

Book time for the install is 9 hours (although it only takes 3-4) and most dealerships charge around $8-900. I would be shocked if they sold M HAS at cost +10% and did a free install. Someone should ask lol..

I didn't take any.. my m4zcp was the dirty grey one. Didn't have time to wash it before.

There were 3 z3 coupes.. those are my favorites by a wide margin.. I would love to drive one of those someday.. on a fun road.
