Considering that FTS was able to fit 325/30R19 in back, I am pretty confident 305/35R18 will fit .

My first couple laps will bed the brakes in for sure.

I used XP8s but on different cars, a 135 and an Evo X. The weight of both cars is similar to the M3. I liked the pads but since they were the only pads I used I can't compare them to anything else. I did not use brake grease on the pads and the Carbotechs were very loud on the street but the cars were not daily drivers so I did not care.

I've been using the Pagid RS29 for about a month on the street now (including 3 track days) and they are very livable.

what about brake dust? more than stock?

I thought with RS29 if used on street, they never heat up sufficiently to bed material. and due to their more abrasive nature, essentially scrape the rotors clean.

Though to tell regarding dust, I did not get a chance to clean my wheels after the track days .

You are correct, the brakes do not get hot enough to get into the "transfer friction" of the pads, so the transfer layer on the discs does get scrubbed off with street use. However, the RS29 have sufficient abrasive friction to still be useable. Cold initial bite is a little weak, but there is sufficient brake power to be had.

I have been using the 305 Nitto on my RS and this tire has a ton of grip. If I could stagger a 275/305 Nitto tire I will get another set of wheels and use the M3 when I travel to tracks outside my area. What offset 11" wheel do you think would work?

I find it interesting that I really liked Pagid yellows on my e92 M3 with the AP kit, but on the RS just no bite. Have an almost new set that I took off and switched to PR 08.

I'd probably go with a 35~40mm offset with an 18"x11" wheel. I am looking forward to see what Apex will come up with.

I also find the initial bite of the RS29 a bit soft compared to the PF08 I used to run on my E92. The RS29 seems pretty stout though, they barely show any sign of wear after 3 track days. It also seems I need to apply more pedal pressure to achieve the same brake torque, but that may only be because I am coming in quite faster than I did with my E92 . It's no joke though, at LCMT last weekend, I was hitting 235km/h on the back straight in my F82 in relatively hot weather. The higher I ever achieved in my E92 was 220km/h on very cool days. Also beat my E92 best by ~0.5 seconds without pushing that hard. That S55 sure pulls .

I have only had the new M3 out for two track days bone stock. First session I wasn't feeling it but by the end of the first day I was having a ton of fun. Speeds at the end of the straight comparable to my RS. Took all nannies off and very easy to control without much drama. If I had pads and decent rubber I think I could easily beat my best time in my heavily modified e92 M3.

That is getting around there pretty good!On the old track in the early 90's in the Firehawk Series the fastest that I went was a 2.04 in our 325is.
