EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads

Looking for some first hand experience with EBC Red Stuff (or a low dust non-ceramic) brake pad.

I am running Pagid RSL29's on OE rotors for the track season, but just put my all season wheels/tires on (#NewEngland) and thinking about swapping out my brakes for an 'all season' set up as well.

(I cannot stand the RSL29 dust levels for anything other than high performance driving).

I'm looking for some real world experience with the EBC Red Stuff, or something very similar (not interested in ceramic pads... I've just never had good experience with them).

Redstuff are good daily driver pads. I've been on mine for a bit more than 74k mi now on my F31 and they still have good life left!

I’ve been on Redstuff for about 2 years now. No noise, noticeably less dust than OEM but they do still dust quite a bit overtime, they’re not dustless like some other options but provide more of an OEM pedal feel and braking experience than some of those other pads. Bite is slightly better than factory pads from what I can remember. Held up great at some roll racing events but they will cook fast on track if you’re pushing the car fairly hard. Have had them start to shutter and shake the car when braking above 120mph after beating on them a bit but expected for a street pad honestly.

Got a set of Yellow stuff that I will be swapping out come next season but still have plenty of life on the Red’s, definitely would recommend for daily use.

Redstuff are an excellent choice for daily driving; they are low dust and don't squeak.

We stock these pads if anyone is interested in grabbing a set

I second what McIntoshMotorSports said above.

Had initially thought of going with Akebono Euros but learned from experienced and insightful folks here that they result in loss of bite and fade more quickly than OEM brakes, which aren’t trade offs I’m willing to make for less dust, since I enjoy spirited canyon drives (I don’t track). I went with the EBC redstuffs recommended by hellokitty and I’m extremely happy. OEM feel and bite, significantly less dust (not dustless by any stretch), and no more squeaking ever. Never tried the yellows, but I’d imagine if you can put up with the brake dust then you might as well go with the blues, or even more track oriented pads/stick with OEMs (if you can deal with the squeal too).

Also, the redstuffs will match your calipers if you ever paint them red like I did 😁

I use rs29s for track and recently installed EBC yellow stuff for the offseason since my stock pads were worned out. I think the rs29s made a bit less dust than the yellow stuff and stop a hell of a lot faster. The yellow stuff is tuned at the edge of squealing. There is a barely noticeable squeal sometimes. I can't comment on the red stuff with my f80, but the yellow stuff is at the edge of my street performance tolerance, given my intoxicating experience with the rs29s.
