Very well written. Nice work.

(but, uh, how was the boot space compared to the M5? )

Myz go ask the guy who went to the dealer just to measure it go pack right for the ed.

I laughed so much that morning, and I don't like being mean.

So as a looong time Bimmerphilenatic, I have some issues burned into neural memory. In my 1600 ti (with twin Webers !) I would a) turn off A/C, and b) eject all passengers whenever I wanted to accelerate quickly. Same thing with my 2002tii, 323, and even now with the 335.

But these guys, and several of the other 'first drive' reports, take a test with a non-broken in perhaps cold engine, three adult occupants, perhaps Auto A/C, maybe a dead alien in the trunk (the Repo Man kind), 91 octane in the tank, etc. and the thing still screams!!!

Thank you for the kind words!!! I'm actually in IT support ... but for a time, I wanted to jump ship and go into writing. Never came across a good part time opportunity to get my feet wet, and no formal training outside of school, so the only people who benefit from my "style" are the people who read my ticket reports!

As for the boot, I could fit at least three bodies in there, so more than enough room. Anything more and I'd just be considered a monster.

I know exactly what you mean with the A/C!! At one point I actually turned it off in the M3 just to see about mid-way through If it made a difference, we definitely couldn't feel it (at least not in that short amount of time). Turned it right back on and didn't give a second thought to it. Can't. Wait.

Yep, I'm leaving for a month and I need a pack pack. Actually, I could probably fit all my clothes on this continent to one suitcase a carry on.

People just love carrying shit around, I have no idea why and no desire to find out.

Go see it. I promise it won't ruin your experience. It will make your thoughts non your decision much more concrete. Thank me later.

I surely hope the F8X sounds better than the V10 M5 I'm getting rid of - at least inside the cabin. I've never liked the sound. Outside, it's a totally different story, with full F1 sound effects.

yeah, sorry man, I should have but just didn't really think of it. There weren't any detailed lines up top other than what you'd expect with a sunroof, I was more focused on how well the color showed the lines of the body itself. From the inside there was actually plenty of headroom, and my friend made the comment of caring f all about having CFRP roof - he loved the sunroof as an option. Personally, I think on the M3 it's not really a detractor because that whole car is just mean regardless. On the M4, I wouldn't be so sure, but haven't seen that in person so hard to judge. Not to imply the M4 doesnt have its aggressive quality, I just think that style fits the CFRP roof much more directly.

lol I am going to have to talk to the lady tonight and have us agree on our packing plan for when we go to Munich. One backpack each carried on the flight maximum! Think we'll make it? :P
