Android Auto for iDrive

So when I get in the car and turn on the connected app I see it connect on my phone. When I go to the connected on my car there are no apps so Bluetooth seems to not be an option for me.

I can get it to connect via USB, all the apps are there however just no sound, I can see playlists etc.

I know it seems counterintuitive, but you need both USB and Bluetooth connected to get this working on cars like ours that don't have Bluetooth apps available.

I'm assuming as much, I must be missing something ever so obvious.

I have installed both connected apps. The app logs in and shows its connected. When I go to the app itself however no sound.

that happens to me too sometimes, what I do is go to Bluetooth audio, once I get sound, then I go back to the audio app.

The main advantage of this app to me is that you can select and search libraries within Spotify

exactly why I want it to work, just for the libraries. Coverart is nice as well.

So I have got it connected, thank you for everyones help. I deleted everything and started again. Only issue I have now is cover art works for everything but Spotify.

i install the app and it Shows only this in my Navigation.
if i Click on the App it only says :App loading: but Nothing happens.[IMG]undefined[/IMG]

You have to compile the APK yourself with Android Studio and add a Google Maps API key as described here:

(Optional) Add a Google Maps API key to ~/.gradle/gradle.properties as a property named AndroidAutoIdrive_GmapsApiKey. This key should have access to Maps SDK for Android, Places API, and Directions API.

google maps runs like shit on this mod. Its strictly for advanced media interface for music.
