Best cheap exhaust setup for M3/M4

I decided to go my own route with the exhaust instead of just buying MPE or Remus which are the 2 best sounding exhausts for the M3/M4.
I went with VRSF catless downpipes and VRSF high flow single midpipe. The catless downpipes helped at first but having stock everything else, it didn't sound too great. Once I added in the midpipe, that's when the whole note of the car changed. It sounds amazing now! Let me know what you guys think and other setups you guys have done.
Here's a link to the YouTube video I did from just downpipes to when I added the midpipe, will get drive by videos later.

IMO that doesn’t sound good at all. That’s the sound everyone is trying to avoid. So raspy, hi pitched, and hollow/tin can sounding.

Doesn’t sound too bad besides the burbles! Turn off the burbles and enjoy the exhaust note!

I realize on video it doesn't sound that good and even when I watched it myself I didn't like it as much but in person it honestly sounds way better than you would think. I was trying to avoid the rasp too and until you hear it in person, I understand why you'd think it hasn't changed, video doesn't do it justice

I've been thinking about doing that, I like them but sometimes I get tired of it

That's gonna be insane. You on ig? I'm curious to see that! What single turbo setup did you go with?

Downpipe + single midpipe is the cheapest way to upgrade the exhaust at a budget.

It won't sound as good as upgrading the REMUS axle-back but much better than stock

How is the cold start and drive off with flaps closed. Any vids of how it sounds with flaps closed by chance? I am hoping for close to stock.

I am coming from a 800+ whp 2015 mustang so the little rasp this car has is nothing compared to the coyote motors. My mustang was catless back to Roush axel backs which = loud and raspy... The cold starts were ungodly loud, as in every person in a mile radius would wake up when I would go to cars and coffee at 6am.

Since this is the route I am going and I wanted to give my neighbors a break and not piss off my wife; she still believes I am keeping this car stock

With BM3 you can turn cold start off if you're on Catless downpipes.

I am going to use the MS EVC to clear codes for now and for flap control. Not going to tune until I do the crank hub, e85, pure turbos etc. and that wont be until my warranty dies next year. Since I am new to this platform I am going to do little things until I go all out like I usually do.

I was going to just BM3 and do the ancillary bits like GTS trans tune, cold start etc. but I am sure, should I have an issue BMW would tell me to pound sand even if the tune wasn't touched. This is the first car I haven't killed the majority of the warranty on within months of picking it up...

Those are all good things to do, crank hub forsure and turning off cold start is good. The thing is the car sounds like a diesel truck so you want less rasp on this platform, but exhaust setups like Remus and MPE sound pretty good, I just wanted mine to sound good without spending $4k. That said it's a really good platform to make lots of power, keep in mind that you also need to upgrade clutch to Dodson or SSP when you go past 650-700 torque

I'm not sure if the MS EVC will clear those codes for you. It did not work on mine. I have a 2020 if it makes a difference. I actually had two codes - passenger restraint system (accidentally disconnected seat while battery was still on) and from having DPs

Tuning with BM3 cleared those codes for me.
