Stealth Hitch Install Video (F80)

Hey team - I looked over the sub forums but couldn't find anything related to towing / hitches so I'm posting this here. I installed my stealth hitch yesterday and it works great! I made a quick video of the process so that others can decide if it's something they want to do on their own. Overall the install was super easy and took about 2 hours.

Garage List
At first I was like why would anyone put a tow hitch on their M3. Because in my mind, I'm thinking you're pulling a trailer. Then I watched the vid (great vid by the way!) and now I get it lol. Like a slow light bulb coming on. Man I need coffee.

I watched your Carvana video too. You were brave from the get-go doing that. I need to physically see and hear it before I buy it. And drive it.

hah! Yeah I was real skeptical of Carvana and such an expensive car. But they lived up to their word and had a no hassle return. Heck I basically got to rent an awesome m3 for a week and they covered the gas!

I also run a stealth hitch and highly recommend it. The only cutting you have to do is modifying the heat shield that runs above the muffler - no visible modifications at all.

Is the Stealth Hitch discontinued for F80's? The website does not list F80's.

I just did some hunting around and turned up the same. No results - not even from the retailer where I bought mine. Worth sending an email to Stealth Hitch.

I have this on my f82 gts. Minimal cutting required.

I had emailed stealth hitch and was told they discontinued it.

So instead I went with a Curt hitch for f30’s which fit my f80. I had to trim the rear portion of the exhaust heat shield and cut out a notch in the rear diffuser. I bought a used oem diffuser off eBay to cut and install instead of cutting my original one.

I’ll add some pics later.

Such a bummer - it's a great product. I can't imagine they sold enough to make it really worth it though.
