Isn't this to do with HD Radio? Do you have an idea why is it necessary to code it out?

No. Just code it. You will have your sound back.

Just letting you know that this worked as well for my US M3 E90 (2010 manufactured), using BIMMERCODE and putting the following settings:

• RADIO_COUNTRY = ece
• FM_DEEMPHASIS = 50us
• ANZEIGE_FREQ = nicht_aktiv (this one was already stated).

Thank you!

Very nice being able to listen to ALL stations! Finally after almost 6 years with the car in Madrid (Spain)!!

Anyone know if the radio country coding value is only for ece and Australia? Ece for rest of world? Or is there a specific country? If so, anyone care to share the coding value for other countries?

Thanks.

ECE is Europe, including Turkey and parts of Russia.
For east, mid east and down under they must have another chart to code, I cant imagine that they would install different units for the different export countries.

There are four options IIRC: ECE (which is Europe, but also other areas such as the Middle-East for instance are programmed ECE from the factory), USA, Japan, and Australia.

In all cases, what is it you are trying to accomplish so we can help? Or is it just curiosity?
