More of Our BMW M4 Coupe Preview Renders

COMMENTS

We recently posted our first set of BMW M4 Coupe renders based off the 4 Series Coupe Concept, and we now bring you even more interpretations previewing the F82 M4, by resident artist E92Alpine328i.

We started with the 4 Series Coupe Coupe and incorporated what the M3/M4 prototype spy photos and videos have revealed so far, along with some speculation and imagination.

For more M3/M4 coverage see: http://www.bimmerpost.com/m3/f30m3/

To recap, here is an updated list of what we know about the F80/F82 so far:
  • Lighter than current M3
    • targeting E46 M3 weight (source)
  • More powerful than current M3
    • approximately same HP, but around 100 lb-ft more torque (in range of 395 lb-ft) (source)
  • Faster than current M3 (source)
  • More efficient than current M3 (source)
  • Powered by an inline 6 cylinder multi-turbo engine (source, source)
  • Offered with optional or standard manual transmission
  • Rumored Electric Power Steering (completely reworked for precision for M3/M4)
  • Tires (from prototype) - Michelin Pilot Super Sport: 255/35/19 (front), 275/35/19 (rear)
  • Front styling to feature elements from the M6 and 1M coupe, with Air Curtain technology (our render)
  • Hood to feature power/vent bump
  • M3 Introduced late 2013 - early 2014 (concept debuts earlier)
  • M3 European Delivery begins July 2014, at earliest
  • M4 Introduced no earlier than late 2014

Looking Good!

Any reason why the roof looks the way it does on the renders? Any new info you might want to share?

Just speculating that the M4 coupe will feature a sculpted carbon fiber roof like the M6 coupe.

That's not reality that's a regular 4 series, not the M4.

Render looks hot!

Looks awesome, but I'm still getting an E92 M3 when this thing gets LCI'd. No way I can afford an M4 lol.

E92 M will age well, just as all the other M3's have

This is true, but I'm not moved by this, I know it's a render and not fact but the design language is way off imo. It doesn't flow from front to back

I love how people make statements like this based on renders that are based on concept vehicles.

What's wrong with being optimistic?
People make negative statements based off of renders too

The front and rear of the of the final car, from the license plate up, is exactly the same , i don't understand why people are saying that the reality is a diferent story, in fact, from what i see, the car is almost the same as the concept, except side mirrors , bumpers ( which are exageratted in the concept), and door handles (obviously, this is not an exotic car).

I will like it a lot, if you guys pay attention, the headlight and rear lights are exactly the same shape, the kidney grills are identical in shape, and i think led headlights will be optional.
