Emissions: Rejected

here in Illinois we do not have sniff test, the car came with burger tuning and catless downpipes, I got rejected because cat, evap, heated o2 sensor, oxygen sensor not ready:

question is: is it possible to buy the cable and switch the o2 sensor back on and install extenders? to pass the emissions.

I drove my car pretty much straight to the testing station, I'm guessing it acted like i just reset my CE light because the guy told me to drive around for a 100 miles or so

I've done a fair amount of research on this, and the conclusion seems to be that this will not pass emissions. The only thing that might work, but is very hit or miss are the mini cats solution. No real o2 simulators exist for this car that allow you to put the rear o2s in ready state and pass - they only prevent CEL.

I'm was thinking this:

A) Get the cable and see if i can put the car back to stock via MAP, like map 0. (maybe i'm wrong here) I believe i have old firmware.
B) unplug JB and have extensions for o2 sensors - but you said no such a thing exists
c) find stock DPs, unplug the JB and get emissions done...

You have to drive 100+miles after clearing codes or else the sensors will be in "Not Ready" mode.

The other problem is even when the sensors are ready, the O2 sensor will definitely report a fault unless you can fake a 02 signal.

The JB can be left in for emissions testing, just put it to map 0 and replace the downpipes with catted downpipes.

This was always an issue with the catless downpipes.

What year is your car? I thought emissions testing was for older cars in IL?

Starts at 4 years old and every 2 years thereafter for counties in Chicagoland area.

it's every 5 years I believe. My car is 2015, but date is 2014.

Cars 1995 and below, no emissions required in IL.

That's what i'm thinking, just purchase stock downpipes and call it a day.

I have BM Stage 1, (no data cable to test this) bUt i dont think you can change the maps. only you can adjust the boost, that's all - maybe i'm wrong.

It varies. Sometimes it's every 2 years, sometimes it's every year. Last 2 cars I had tested, it said on the receipt that next test will be due in a year

Ah, I think I confused it with number of times I can renew registration before getting notice.

Either way, land is super cheap in DeKalb county... Strongly considering buying a small plot of land and putting a micro house in it for < 30k and registering all my vehicles there so I can finally have some fun without it being annoying And avoiding these obnoxious Crook County stickers.
