Door not locking/unlocking

New issue popped up today not sure what it is after searching online.

My 2015 f82 m4 passenger door is not locking or unlocking at all with the fob or middle button. Handle will still unlock it and same with key.

Have the actuator gone bad? Possible fuse?

Side note: I don't hear the actuator moving at all like it's even trying to lock/unlock for passenger side. All other driver door and trunk still audible when pressing.

Thanks in advance.

Check your vehicle settings in the idrive, as I believe theres a setting for you to change the keyfob to assign it to either one door or both doors.

Checked settings and it's set to all doors. So guessing it's not that.

Fuses look good.

Locking or unlocking won't work with fob or middle button. door handle still works pulling twice to unlock.

I think you'll have to remove the door panel and check the connections to the door pin and latch mechanism

I'm experiencing the same exact issue. My car is also the same 2015 BMW M4 F82. Any tutorials or DIY to replace the door actuator? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

My driver side just stopped working. You first check the fuses to see if its just the fuse. There are 1 fuse (Fuse 22) by the fuse box at the engine bay and 3 fuses at the trunk (104, 150, 163). If thw fuses are okay You could then try opening up the panel and spray some WD40 where the mechanism is. Sometimes it could just be the grease. I tried that and it worked but then failed again. So I ordered a Dorman OEM style one which was only $70.

You need to use plastic pry tool to pry the door panel open. First pry open the door handle (the big one, not the handle to open the door) then there are 2 torx screws. After that u can just start prying it open.

No DIY but it’s pretty straight forward. After you get the door panel open just take photos of where everything is before you remove or touch it that way you can go back to the photos for reference. Essentially it’s just the matter of the 3-4 screws holding it and putting back what gets taken off, super easy.
