Traction light

Hello I my old tire setup was 265/35/19 on a 9.5in in the front and 295/35/19 on a 11in in the rear.

I just replaced my rear tires to a 305/30/19 same wheels and left the same front tires on.

When I am taking and exit going like 40 around the corner the traction like flashes on and is slowing down the car no clue why when the tire diameter is closer now then it was before. Does anyone have any clue If there is something I need to reset to change the tire size or any info will help.

The car is fine driving straight or taking a normal corner on the road just taking exits it's kicking on. I just mounted the tires yesterday.

Have you found any luck? What was your tire size before?

I run 265/35/19 with 325/30/19 no probs.
Which tires?

Send a PM over to SignatureWheelBMW and ask if they've heard of this before or a known fix. I'm leaning towards an iffy wheel speed sensor, or maybe a software bug, but that's just my guessing.

The problem is your now running front and rear tires that have the same exact diameter (26.3"). DSC was calibrated for the OEM stagger which is 26" and 26.6" rear. Your previous setup using a 295/35 in the rear was staggered front and rear and much closer to the OEM difference.

Sorry, my tires are 18s, not 19s.

Traction alerts are usually paired with ABS alerts and are triggered much easier and stay present. At least that has been my experience.

295/35 is taller than OEM so you did not see difference. But 305/30 is like 3% shorter than OEM so traction control is freaking out and cuts power early.

You can flash with the euro MDM or drive without traction control at all or live with TC light coming on here and there.

I didn't know that Euro MDM calmed down TC for tire sizing. I did have Euro MDM coded in.

What is euro mdm? I've seen people talk about it but what is it really and do you have a link?
