It was already available on the CS last year. The prior press release suggested it was also supposed to be available on the standard M4 now as well:

Darkened rear lights are also set to adorn the rear of the BMW M4 Coupe and BMW M4 Convertible. The BMW Individual paint finish Frozen Dark Blue II will be offered as an option for the two high-performance models from March 2019. Plus, the BMW M4 Coupe with M Competition package can be ordered with two new bi-colour leather trim options. BMW Individual fine-grain Merino full leather trim is available in the Sakhir Orange/Black and Silverstone/ Black combinations.
I notice that the two bi-color interior options mentioned in the above paragraph are also missing. Although the Pricing Guide does list the Extended and Full "Sakhir Orange/Black" options, if you compare to the guides from past model years, these are the same Sakhir Orange interiors that have been available from the beginning.

Your correct, as it was announced for the 2020 models. Maybe there will be an updated order guide, as Tanzanite Blue is no longer a Priority 1 option. Do know that there is a Tanzanite Blue II available for the G20.

So the M4cs continues into 2020 model year, that's interesting. I thought the CS was ending production in Feb-2019.

Also with a new colour: Melbourne Red replacing Black Sapphire Metallic. I think it will look stunning in that colour .

Hahahaha. So happy I didn't go through with the SMB individual 19 M4. Don't think I will get the M4 now though. Moving back to Cali later this year (San Diego - your neck of the woods and finally back to AutoX with BMWCCA which is by far the best) and thinking of the X3M

Good to hear!

Not sure if you're aware, but our autocrosses at Qualcomm Stadium (now SDCCU Stadium) were supposed to end in December 2018. Due to the props that were on the ballot last November, SDSU is taking over the site but there's a lot of planning to do before the old stadium is razed and a new stadium is built. As a result, the San Diego autox community has been given a 2 year extension on use of the parking lots, although the surface has continued to degrade with huge potholes and lots of asphalt chunks. I've been to more than one autocross in the last couple of years where the course had to be altered because the asphalt degraded while we're running on it.

SCCA did a closed test autocross at Cal State San Marcos in one of their parking lots and reps from all of the other clubs, including SD BMW CCA, participated. While the surface is excellent, the lot is considerably smaller than the West Lot at the Stadium, resulting in times around 35-45 seconds, way less than the 100+ second ETs that we've had in the West Lot. Additionally, CSSM only wants to deal with one entity, and that appears to be SCCA. That may mean that they will run all autocrosses or that if clubs can run their own autocross, we will have to go through SCCA to obtain dates. Not sure if SCCA wants to do that. This was all from a few months ago before the extension and I don't know the current status.

This is way off-topic now. Maybe the mods can move these two posts to the autocross forum or the SoCal forum.

Thanks for the update! That's good to know. My wife and I first event with you guys was in her old 228i at Qualcomm and we had to change the course because we opened a pothole. That is where you and I first met right before ED for our Yas F80.

You sure you want an X3? We have an X3 loaner right now and granted it's not the ///M version but damn this thing is underwhelming.

I'm not a "trucker" so that probably has something to do with it.

We got an M40i as a loaner and I very much liked it but it was missing a bit of specialness so excited to test drive the X3M if it feels anything like the X5M to drive which is definitely fun. Plus we already have an F80, so would have that for low center of gravity fun drives

Gotcha. I've been driving the X3 around all day so it's fresh in my mind. I want to like it and my wife wants an SUV (I don't) as we have a 3 month old but I can't get past the high center of gravity and the feeling like I'm driving a truck. Also there really isn't any more room in this thing compared to our 340. Sure the roof is higher but overall it's just as cramped as a 3 series with more headroom. I kinda knew that but it was confirmed today. At the end of the day I just want a low center of gravity "sports" car and nothing else will satisfy me. It's funny that my wife is concerned that I'm gonna hate our "baby/ski/all weather" car and complain every time I drive it. She's right

If it's any consolation, SMB has never been made a standard metallic colour on the M3 in the USA, save for the CS.

It was only a question of time though, as SMB has been made a standard colour in the rest of the world replacing SSII for well over a year now.

Yes, according to the production numbers for the F80 M3, my wife's Individual San Marino Blue M3 ZCP with Individual Polar Blue contrasting stitching is the only one made in that combination. It's really the contrasting stitching that makes it unique though. So a small, tiny, little consolation...

P.S. She'll have it on the track for the first time either on Thursday, March 7 for a Porsche Club women-only, any marque HPDE if she ends up doing that, or for sure March 23-24! Apex EC-7 wheels are on order. She's looking forward to it!

I predicted a few months back it would only be a mater of time, especially with the F80 EOP. BMW NA lost a significant amount of $5,200 profit from the SMB special orders, but they needed to drive sales for the remaining 20 months until F83 EOP.

Next up will be the special editions, such as the frozen colors which occurred prior to the M3 E92 EOP.

I’m not sure the CS is available to order anymore in the UK, so this must be NA only?

I’m cheesed off if Melbourne red is available now, I went with SMB as the best of an average bunch, I’d have had red in a heartbeat
