Wow this has been a long discussion...I never even noticed there isn't a cup holder in the back seat, I can't reach the clutch from back there...and my little guy's car seat has 2 built in cup holders, so he's good hahaha

Na doesn't bother me.

I hardly ever have people in the back seat, and if I did I wouldn't let them eat or drink back there!!

That addresses the cupholder issue, and it's a clever DIY mod to be sure.

But, there is still no arm rest which is what the guy that bumped this thread after nearly three years of dormancy was primarily griping about.

yes it works...slides around when i am driving the car by my self...hmmmm but yes very nice I had the Dealer get it for me on my 2nd Euro delivery of my 2017 M3 as we were taking our friends and the girls needed to have cup holders..also lots of storage and now that i have a CS with no center console this comes in handy

I ordered this today - figured it would allow me to put the velcro down low and lessen the torque on the holder. Plus I only have one kid . . .

I just spend like a hour going through this thread and I'm still annoyed that there is no rear center armrest in the back with through loading in F8X cars. Had it in my last 440i which is nice because I find the 4 series coupe to be quite spacious in the back. I take my buddies on long trips all the time and they enjoyed their time in the back of 440i cause how spacious it is, and its enjoy going fast. What I really would like is the through loading of the center armrest as I can carry skis and longer items without having to folder down the seats. Not saying I bought a M4 to be practical but I think people who bought M3 over M4 would want more practicality. I guess the M3 is not really that much practical other than the extra two doors.
