I've had my YMB for exactly 1 month today. I love it.

I've received so many compliments it's been really surprising. I knew I'd have some people comment on it but not this much (no complaints!) I've had people, that I don't even know, go out of their way to tell me they love the color and car.

Tonight, I had some guy in a challenger drive by and let me know he loved the car and my car wasn't even in the garage at that moment (it's getting wrapped atm). Speaking of wrapped, earlier today, the installers wanted to take photos and a video after the install and put it on their site.

One plus side, coming from a black car for 10 years, it's MUCH cooler after sitting in the sun. It's great, haha.

Beautiful color. I always wanted the YMB and visited this thread fairly often to hear people's thoughts. My dealer discouraged me given his feedback from customers who grew tired of it. I listened and was never was able to do it. On my second AW M4 which is safe but will always regret not pulling the trigger.

Only regret is that I didn't chose it on my first F82 , love this color really makes it feel special

Disclaimer, I'm a boring car color guy. Silver m5, black m2, white m3.

My buddy had a ymb m4 and loved it. Got tons of thumbs up and parking lot questions. Traded it in on a new m4 in Silverstone. He says his notariary has dropped off significantly.

One of the funniest posts I've read on this forum is when someone described the ///m color palate as painting them like tropical fish!

I've had mine for 6 months now and every time I take it to the petrol pump someone asks me what's the name of the colour (and sometimes its not even car enthusiasts that ask). I've always had black in the past and I wouldn't get near the same attention that I do with this colour.
For me, this colour stands out more on the F80 than the F82. The lightness of the colour (and how it looks under sunlight) makes the wider fenders more noticeable.

I don't have an M3, but got my 328i painted in YMB and I absolutely love it. Also got the wheels refinished and painted jet black. Thoughts?

Love YMB. I'm thinking about buying a 2019 YMB M4-Manual this weekend. I've generally had had black, silver or white cars, with the exception of my current car a 2018 Red Audi S4. Many people that see it for the first time ask me if the car belongs to my wife (she actually drives a 2018 black R8). Will I get this question asked if I get a YMB?

Short answer - No way, YMB is such an awesome color

Long answer:
I ordered my M4 in March of 2018, even longer story, in Mineral Grey Metallic with black interior, pretty much the same as my E92. Like others, I am more conservative when it comes to car colors and like the grays and whites. After waiting ~2 months my dealer called me and said the allocation he thought he had was not available anymore and laid out my options. We located a YMB one in North Carolina but with everything I wanted in my original order. I was very hesitant at first and concerned about the color...but the dealer said he would bring it to my location and if I did not like it on delivery we would figure something else out. I endlessly searched the web for pictures of YMB M4s and looked and looked...I was still on the fence. The day of delivery, I could not have been happier. I have yet to see a picture that does that color any justice, its such a better color in person. Different lighting makes the color appear very different and I have grown to really love the car.

I've been pondering over stepping into an F80/F82 from my F32 as prices are down on the MY15/MY16s. Originally was unsure to include YMB in my parameters, but I now may be set on getting one over BSM and MGM.

the only other M I have ever seen and wish I had gotten is the Nardo Gray. otherwise YMB FTW!
