The one at Main Line is still available, now $104k. Getting close to sub $100k.

Wow! 8 GTS' under ~$110k. All with about 1,000 miles or less.

With winter coming, a little bit of conversation will have these @ $100k or less.

That would be 25% depreciation in 1 year, that's more than my wife's Lexus with 13,000 miles! lol

Someone should scoop these up!

Bargain of the century at $100K; I'd pick one up over a used GT4 if I were in the market.

At this rate, the future CS is going to be more expensive than the current GTS at today's prices....and there will be 3,000+ of them, not 800. However, I saw that 2 new GTSs sold in the last week. People are starting to notice...
And prices in Europe are still almost double (I know I already mentioned that a few weeks ago but they are still going up in price in Germany, France and Austria) at $200,000+. I cannot figure this out...
I know Europe is a different market but twice the asking price of the US a year after model release?!?

What's the MSRP on the CS?

There might be more customers wanting back seats and slightly better daily drive-ability with the CS than the GTS which may be one reason someone would pay $90-$95k for a CS rather than $100-$105k for a used GTS.

Or, people may like the fact that they can personalize the CS with different colors, equipment, etc. Who knows.

Looks more and more likely that the CS will be a $90,000 to $95,000+ car without carbon ceramics.
Sure would be nice to know for sure...

cheaper and smarter option:

buy used 2015/2016 m4 with DCT ~$50k or less
add BBK $5k
add suspension $5k
add 18x11 wheels and race tires $8k
add wing/splitter $5k
add custom tune, DPs, catless $3k
strip out car, add add full roll cage $5k
recaro race seats and harness $3k

Result $84k... car is way cheaper and faster than GTS all day long.

and please don't use the excuse.. "but you can't drive it on the street like the GTS"...
or I will slap you silly...

I guess the delta is having a warranty, ability to pass emissions, prestige of a 'limited' car, and the comfort of knowing a car was setup by BMW engineers as opposed to Tony's chop shop. Others just may not like the tuner approach and like something out of the box.

In other news, $103,997!! https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...3701/overview/

+1 owned tuned cars in the past (BMW), the peace of mind of owning a car that is built already with warranty is priceless.

You need to drive a GTS for a few days to know. You are using the argument that someone with a 335i used to have against the M3. I drove it and bought one right away given what is being offered.

The asking prices for GTS-models is rather peculiar, and certainly not something I'd be excited for as an owner.

While goofing around on the CCA classifieds I found a low-mileage example: here. I thought the price had to be erroneous, especially as the dealership I frequent was wanting to ask near $150k for one of their allocations only a few months back.

Going then to EAG, the price for a white example with <100 miles is even more shocking: here.

I want to be optimistic for you guys with these cars, but I struggle to. Hopefully the driving is wonderful

I don't think I bought it to see if I can make money. There are very few cars where you can do that. I was skeptical but once I drove the car and have owned it, I absolutely love it!

You're only going to make money on super/hyper cars; I'm just hoping mine holds value while I enjoy driving the heck out of it.

And after insurance, taxes, maintenance, storage, etc... you'd be better off purchasing an ETF

The lucrative part of owning high-end car that 'retain' value is the less you lose.

You could own a GT3/RS or something and lose the same amount of money as a Cadillac Escalade after 3 years.

What’s going on with GTS prices?

Guys,
What is happening with prices on this car? I just looked at a 300 mile black example with an asking price of $111K?? When looking at most advertising websites, these cars are hovering around more or less $100k. Then i get a call that a 600 mile car can possibly be had for high eighties!!! This sure seems to be ton of car for the money. The car is obviously very desirable to the true enthusiasts and M brand fans. I for one have had my fair share of M3s and an M4 not that long ago. I currently own an Alfa Guila Quad and I just took delivery of an 18 TTRS that I picked up in Ingolstadt. My favorite car is the next one I'm going after. Where do you all see the values at least stabilizing?? To current owners, does the car truly only shine on the track? Why did this car get such a bad rap? I can only conclude based on what I know that set up has a ton to do with these cars. Let me know your thoughts......Sparco

Ya. A lot of us are perplexed by this phenomenon that's seems to be limited to the USA. I own one and got it at msrp. It's certainly a unique car and not too flashy. Haven't tracked yet and put 2500 miles. I am still trying to feel the car and a bit scared of it with so much torque at low end. But then I am a slow learner, no rush. I also have a 1M which is great fun too but went through the same curve with me. It also dropped in value initially because it wasn't so "special" when it came out. Now it's going up in value. I think the gts will go through the same cycle particularly when the new Ms cone out with so much technology the GTS will look very analog in comparison and then go up in value. I think the USA gts market was hit by many local cars like mustang gt350 which are great cars for great value and local. Such cars in international market are considered exotic and might scare off buyers because of the service etc which is not the case in the USA because of familiarity. The gts is a local car in Europe and thus holds a safe and good value there. That's my take on the situation. Nonetheless, it's a great car and feels like a special occasion every time I start it and go for a drive, that is when I lose any regret for buying it. It's not confidence building to drive and that's why I like it, I feel you have to develop a relationship with it or "her/him"

to sum it up, bmw delivered an extra 100 cars to the u.s that weren't accounted for and it basically screwed the market, once the remaining gts are all sold the values will tell true and go back up to a steady number
get them while you can!
