Question Noob question...?

Sorry to be a noob, but what's MPE, you mention in your first post....?

I had mine tuned at GAD with filters, decat pipes, charge pipes in aluminium and a remap. It's supposed to make 530+BHP and 780NM (538lb/ft). I've driven it hard at VMAX and it's a 911 beater, but wonder what MPE is and how it gets to 600BHP.

My next house price sized investment will be decat exhaust, big brakes and either turbo upgrade or Meth injection, which should get to 620 BHP and maybe get me to 190mph in the 2.1 km you have at VMAX on the runway.

Turbos are huge money from TTE in Germany or Mosselmann in Holland.

M Performance Exhaust.
And 600hp is probably way too optimistic. I'll have a proper figure once it's been on the dyno.

So is it only the down pipes you had fitted ?? With stock exhaust??
I’m going for a stage 2 with the full Remus just don’t know if going for the downpipes as well will be too loud ... just swap them out come MOT time ... going too Litchfield for the remapp ..so hopefully should be flying back north after that 👍👍👍

Downpipes with an M Performance Exhaust. And stage 2+ mapping. If you retain the secondary cats, no issues come MOT time...

How's the rasp and daily driving? Thinking about getting DPs for my MPE but concerned. Sounds like from your previous post that if you're in efficient, it isn't too bad.

It's not an issue at all on a daily basis, really. It's such a vast difference (sound-wise) between efficient & sport. If I don't want any undue attention, or want to 'blend in' it's efficient mode. When I'm not bothered and/or out for a general blast, then sport or sport+

I'm going to buy a set of the MTC ones off eBay - just waiting to see if my BMW indi we'll fit them.

I've got a remap from MoreBHP - do I need to get it re-remapped to take advantage of these power wise?

Mine are the MTC ones, perfect fitment. Yes, you'll need to map again, you get another 30hp or so. More importantly the primary cats need coding out, or the computer will think something's wrong...

It's a physical trip and ECU out at MoreBHP - did you get yours from Bootmod etc and do it yourself?

Yeah, did it myself over OBD. Alpine MSS tune, once you've paid (one time only) you can have whatever you want, when you want. Surely More BHP are now offering OBD tuning? Especially if they've had your ECU out once it should be patched/cracked anyway?

I've just ordered a set today t5pilot - MTC ones.

Do I need to order any replacement gaskets/fittings etc or are they a straight swop out?

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Steve.

For ease of fitting, a 90 degree lambda bend is useful. But not essential.

What you do need is:
4x 18.30.7.579.650 (about £10 in total)
2x 18.30.7.851.168 (about £20 in total)

I haven't looked up the part numbers, but seem to think they're 4 bolts & 2 gaskets.

Apologies, you're right, I'd got the number wrong.
