No mention of BP or QT or racetrack?
Did you even look at the Top Tier website? All of the information is laid out there for you. BP and QT are Top Tier, RaceTrac is not. Further, it doesn't matter which brand you put in the tank regardless of the information that's out there. You could run Kroger gas for the life of the car and it will run with no issues performance or otherwise.

BMW used to recommend BP gas and castrol oil for a longgg time until recently they ended that partnership and now recommend Shell fuel and Pennzoil oil. It's about sponsorship. Porsche recommends mobile1. Truth is any oil meeting spec is absolutely fine and any top tier gas (and likely many non top tier stations) is absolutely fine.

This, this, this. Please tell me you guys can hear the wheels of the marketing machine at work.

Ditto. Chevron and Shell invest the most in their additive development. Word in the industry suggests Techron is the most effective, with Shell as a close second.

FYI - Top tier is just about the quantity of additives / detergents. It has nothing to do with quality or science behind them. Smaller companies don’t have the funding to match a Chevron or Shell. They spend more on the science. Does this matter long term? Who knows. But I don’t mind paying a little more for piece of mind. I buy Tide laundry detergent rather than the off brand for the same reason.

Can't come at you even if you want the smoke, because arco is top tier gas.

No love for Sunoco? I will use Sunoco 94 octane if I can find it (but it seems to be mostly available in the Northeast, especially the New Jersey area). But just like others have mentioned, I use the top brands (Shell, Exxon, Texaco, BP, etc) as they all use quality detergents/additives to help. But usually it is Shell for me as the stations are close to both my home and work. I personally stay away from the no-name/country gas stations (like Racetec) - you don't know where they get their gas from. It could be some surplus top tier stuff, or something else...

I only use V-power 93. Only other gas station around me is 7-11, and that's a negative.

Oh Jesus Christ! QT? I absolutely love QT, but my M3 HATES their premium. I have found personally that Chevron is the best for mine, but then again I am running bootmod3 on 93 currently. While running e85, I prefer Valero.
