I love that Daytona I plan on getting either that one or a Submariner with a black face/bezel. That'll probably happen when I graduate. I'm still too young for a thread like this one lmao.

So what, many of us love watches also and like to share them with like minded enthusiasts... If that's sad to some, don't click the thread.

I think there is a PC/Whiner/Victim culture that has arisen in the world today that really needs to stop, and this goes right along with it. It seems so common nowadays when some people can't have something or don't see the merit in having or achieving something, they go on a vendetta to make sure others can't have it either, or if they can, be proud of it. They don't see the point of having a nice watch so a watch thread becomes "dumb" or "sad", and they feel that they need to voice their opinion to shame or guilt those that do have them. Same goes for cars, money, or anything material. People find a way to become offended about something that supposedly, doesn't matter to them, or they say they think is "stupid" or "sad"

If you don't like watches don't click on the thread. Just like if you don't like BMWs, don't post on a BMW forum. Yes this is a BMW forum, but fine mechanical instruments go hand-in-hand with each other no matter what they are.

Like the camry example that has been given, you're here on a forum where the base price of the car it's dedicated to is nearly $60k, but is just as capable for the needs of most people as one that's $30k, but yet paying $2k+ for a watch is somehow ridiculous and "sad".
