I will not be running ethanol. Does it work to fix the starvation problem?

As an update we are going to move forward with the partial solution that we have been using in the GTMore as well as a few other cars. It's not the end all be all solution, but will be inexpensive, not super invasive, and allow you to get a few more gallons of fuel used on track - which when the power is turned up and you're at a power track, can be the difference of being able to run a full session or not without starvation. We still would like to come up with an end all be all solution that does not require a surge tank, but it will likely be a more involved installation process that will require dropping the fuel tank from the car. This is due to there being no way to access the left side of the fuel tank while installed in the car. Just finalized some of the components and should have parts in stock in the next couple of weeks and will update here when they are ready to rock.

I would not hesitate to drop the tank for a 100% solution.

I think if you guys can come up with a full solution I think a lot of guys would buy it. For me it’s just an inconvenience as I haul 50 gallons of ethanol to the track so I fill up each session.

But the real issue is you can’t do 2 sessions on a full tank. Some tracks you have to drive offsite to get fuel so every session these people have to leave to fuel up.

Super exciting news both for the “partial” fix and hopeful “full” fix.

I would drop my fuel tank for a “full” fix in a heart beat!

Had my first experience with fuel starvation two days ago which is strange as it was a scenario I've been in the past. 1/3 tank at full throttle going into the esses at WGI and the car just sort of felt like it jolted back. Continued on with my lap with no issue and thought about the location of what I experienced, and it was easy to determine that fuel starvation was the culprit.
Definitely not a good location to have that occur so I’ll be starting all runs at full fuel there from now on.

Well as things go, stuff seemed to continually pop up that delayed these but they are now live. More info on the solution here:

I did the same thing on my Evo X, it worked really well and I could go down past 1/4 tank on E85 at the track. I like how simple this is

Have mine on order

I've never worked on fuel system before -- is this gizmo considered essential to get the collar off to get the pump out?

Will make it easier. Some guys just use a screw driver and hammer to pound it around. I will be ordering the tool.

Dang, the first run of kits went quickly. Three days after the kits went on sale, they were sold out. Oh well, I put my order in and will wait for the second batch. Luckily I have plenty of time this winter, and plenty of other parts to put in before then!

Not yet, probably will tackle in January. Install instructions are pretty detailed so hopefully will be straightforward. Slightly nervous about the wiring since that'll be a new thing for me, but again instructions seem solid

Make sure to run your gas tanks down to as close to zero as possible. And work in a well ventilated area!

i would think the toughest part would be trying to route/ slide the new pump over to the passive side of the tank. The space between the 2 sides is extremely limited,
